Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, October 20, 1947, be approved as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C- 751 providing for the construction of concrete curbs and gutters and there being no-objections in'writing or otherwise to said improvement or any part thereof: It is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -819, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by grading, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; estab- lishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Clerk give notice to contractors by publication as required by law for the construction of curbs and gutters in L.I.D. No. 637, said bids to 'be received on Monday, November 10, 1947, at 10.o' clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -752, providing f or the paving of the alley from W. Chestnut St.to Bell St; It is ordered that the hearing be postponed for one week : carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -753, providing for the vacation of the No. 20-feet of Lot 21, Hackett' s Subdiv- ision; It is ordered that said hearing be postponed until Monday, November 3, 1947, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement Districts Nots. 610, 614, 615, 619, and 620, and there being no objections.in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinances No's. B -820, B -821, B -822, B -823, and B -824 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -820, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 610, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -740 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, Washington. ORDINANCE NO. B -821, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 614, as. created and established by Ordinance No. B -761 of the ordinances of the !City of Yakima, Washington.. ORDINANCE NO. B -822, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 615, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -766 of the ordinances'of the 'City of Yakima, Washington. ORDINANCE NO. B -823, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 619, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -771 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, Washington. OF?.DINANCE NO. B -824, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Dis- trict No. 620, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -774 of the ordinances of the 'City of Yakima, Washington, RESOLUTION NO. C -760, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 'CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: That it is its intention to improve the following streets in the City of Yakima by surfacing the same with asphaltic road material: Tieton Drive -from 27th Avenue South to 34th Avenue South, Voltaire Avenue; Webster Avenue; 31st Avenue South from Tieton Drive to Nob Hill Boulevard; 30th Avenue from Tieton Drive to a point 375 feet north of Nob Hill Boulevard; 27th Avenue South from Tieton Drive to West Washington Street; 28th Avenue South from West Washington Street to Fraser Way; Shelton Avenue; Brackett Avenue; Fraser Way; West Washington Street from Grandview Ave- nue to 26th Avenue South; and Bonnie Doon Avenue from Grandview Avenue to 30th Avenue South, all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The boundary of the district to be assessed for the above de- scribed improvement is situate within the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of 28th Avenue South and Tieton Drive; thence easterly along Tieton Drive to a point 140 feet east of 27th Avenue South; thence south and parallel with 27th Avenue South to the Naches and Cowiche Canal; thence southeasterly along said Canal to 26th Avenue South; thence southerly along 26th Avenue South to a point 306.9 feet south of West Washington Street; thence westerly and parallel with West Washing - ton Street to a point 165 feet east of 30th Avenue South; thence southerly and parallel with 30th Avenue South to a point 245 feet south of Bonnie Doon Avenue; thence west- erly and parallel with Bonnie Doon Avenue to a point 140 feet east of 31st Avenue South; thence southerly to Nob Hill Boulevard; thence westerly along Nob Hill Boulevard to a point 140 feet east of Grandview Avenue; thence north- erly and parallel with Grandview Avenue to a point 281 feet south of Bonnie Doon Avenue; thence westerly and parallel with Bonnie Doon Avenue to Grandview Avenue; thence north- erly along Grandview Avenue to the south line of Webster- 1 F��� 7 1 I!� October 27...194.7 Grandview Addition; thence westerly along said south line to 34th Avenue South; thence northerly along 34th Avenue South to a point 250 feet north of Tieton Drive; thence east- erly and parallel with Tieton Drive to 28th Avenue South; thence southerly along 28th Avenue South to the point of be- ginning; except therefrom Lots 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 of Card - iff's Suburban Tracts. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment, are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City 'Commission to be held at its office in the :City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 24th day of November, 19479 which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost-.of acquiring rights of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed again- st all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to.be by him submitted.
