The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Clark and
Bishop present on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
September 15, 1947, be approved as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the City !Clark is hereby instructed to give no-
.tice of hearing on the preliminary budget by.publication as required by law; said
hearing to be on' Monday, October 6, 1947, at 10 b1 clock A. Ms carried Buck, Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C-750, WHEREAS the City of Yakima is in need of certain copper pipe for
use in connection with installation being carried on by the Water Department and it has
been impossible to foresee the amount of such pipe which would become necessary;
AND WHEREAS it will be to the best interests of the City to pur-
chase such water pipe;
AND WHEREAS a supply of said copper pipe is available through
the Inland Pipe and Supply'~Company,and can be immediately delivered;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION of
Yakima, Washington, that an emergency exists with reference to the purchase of copper
pip6,. : .-.and.��.that, -therefbre the-:.-,Furchas ng Agent be and he is hereby authorized to pur-
chase from the Inland Pipe and Supply Company 2040 feet of copper pipe at $33.84 per
hundred feet, making a total purchase price of $690.34.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 22nd
day of September, 1947. ,
