Moved by Buck, seconded by lGlark that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. 611, providing for the construction of a_sewer system on South Grand- view and other streets in said district, and the protests of :1. S. Cardiff, owner of Lots 14, 15, 19, 20. and 21 of Cardiff Suburban Tracts; V. 0. McWhorter, owner of Lots 17 and 18 in Cardiff Addition; and Mrs. A. J. Ambrose, owner of Lot 21 of Ambrose Addition, having been filed and read by the City Clerk; It is ordered that there being insuffi� cient protest and objection to said assessment roll, or any part thereof', the ordinance confirming said roll and every part thereof be passed as read :.carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -803, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 611, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -751 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by 'Clark, seconded.by Buck that Ordinance No. B -803 be passed as read: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck, that this being the time for receiving bids for the construction of North First Street Sewer District, L. I. D. No. 6301 the following bids were received: State Construction 'Co. ;35,781.10; Gallagher and Brandt $36,833.15; Farman Construction Co. $40,3421 -0; The bid of the State Construction Co. in the sum of $35,781.10 being the lowest and! best bid, said contract was awarded to them and the Mayor and City :Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima upon receipt of the proper bond as provided by law: carried Buck and. .Clark voting aye on roll call., Bishop absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids on the resurfacing of Last "A." Street in L. I. D. No. 631, and the bid of the Columbia Asph- alt Co. in the sum of $3012.50 being the only bid received said bid is hereby. accepted and the Mayor and 'City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City upon the filing of the proper bond as provided by law: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -746, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE +CITY OF YAKIMA. WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within the following described district situated in Yakima County, Washington: Beginning at a point on the north line of North Avenue 137.55 feet west of the west line of North First Street; thence northerly and parallel with North First Street to the southerly line of North First Street Addition; thence westerly along said southerly line to the.westerl.y line of said addition; thence northerly along said westerly line to the northerly line of the same addition: thence easterly along said northerly line to a point 13 7.55 feet west of the west line of North First Street; thence north- erly and parallel with North First Street to the northerly ,City Limits; thence easterly along the City Limits to a point 153' east of the easterly lire of North Second Street; thence southerly and parallel with North Second Street to the north line of North Avenue; thence westerly to the point of beginning. said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to be constructed in full accordance with. the plans and specifications to be pre- pared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the 'City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the 'City- of Yakima, Yakima County, 'Nashington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 29th day of September, 1947, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all mat- ters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for deter- mining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid iiiiprovement.. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne b- y and assessed against all of °the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro- vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Chestnut Street and Fifth,Avenue South sidewalk District in L. I. D. No. 614; the Fifth Avenue North Sidewalk District in L. I. D. No. 610, and the 19th Avenue South Sidewalk District in L. I. D. No. 615, said work is hereby accepted and the City Eng- ineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said districts as required by law: carried Buck and Clark voting; aye on roll call.
