Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Sanitation 2036.00; `Cemetery '881.57; Street Dept. $3252,00; Parking Meters $172.20; Irrigation 100.80; and Water carried Buck, and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $6191.72; Street $5022.65; Library $2026.05; Cemetery $127.17; Irrigation $729.58; Water 29,436.24; Library Gift $9.13; F. R. & P. $200.00 and Gas & Oil $1434.05: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by (Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids on 12 ton truck and one four door passenger car and no bids having been received; >It is ordered that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to purchase said cars on the open market: carried Buck and I ,Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -745, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 'CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, 1111ASH: That. it is. its intention_ to improve Summitview Avenue from Six- teenth Avenue North to the Westerly City - Limits, by resurfacing the same with a one inch course of bituminous concrete and by the construction of an eight inch storm sewer, to- gether with the necessary manholes and drainage inlets, all-of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the .City Engineer and filed with the 'City Clerk. The boundary of the district to be assessed for the above describ- ed improvement is situate within the -City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and:`des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Summitview Avenue with the westerly line of Sixteenth Avenue North; thence southerly along said westerly line a distance of one hundred fifty feet; thence westerly and parallel with the south line of Summitview Avenue to the westerly •City Limits; thence north to the center line of Summitview Avenue; thence easterly along said center line to a point 182.6 feet west of the westerly line of North Hillcrest Avenue; thence northerly and parallel with said westerly line to a point one hun- dred fifty feet north of the Northerly line of Summit - view Avenue; thence easterly and parallel with said northerly line to the westerly line of Sixteenth Ave- nue North, thence southerly along said westerly line to the point of beginning. All persons who may.desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the .City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 15th day of September, 1947, which. time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. Twenty -five per cent of the cost and expense of this improvement, including engineering, inspection, advertising and publication of notices is,to be borne by the :City of Yakima, and the balance shall be borne by and assessed 'against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Comm- ission at or prior to the datb fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. Fourth Avenue and South Fifth Avenue within the City of Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -802 be passed as read: carried Buck and Clark Voting aye on roll call.
