The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioner Clark present
on roll call, Bishop absent.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
-July 7, 1947 and adjourned meeting thereof-be approved as read: carried, Buck and
'Clark voting aye-on roll call.- Bishop absent.
-Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that claims on the following funds be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $8695.29; Street
Dept. $5744'63; Cemetery $53.31; L.I.D's $15,678.98; Irrigation $533.39; +Water $6887.37
and Gas and Oil $931.02$ carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give noti
to Bidders for an automobile of the Ford, Plymouth or ,Chevrolet type; said bids to be
received on Monday, July 28th, 1947, at 10 :00 o'clock A.M-. carried Buck and Clark
voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded.by Buck that the ordinance authorizing the purchase of a
grader for the Street Dept. in the sum of ,$11,975.00, and not included in the 1947,
Budget, be laid on the table for one week: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll
call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the Resolution of Intention providing-for the
improvement of East "A" Street from the east line of North Second Street to the west
line of North Naches Avenue by resurfacing the same with a one inch course of bitum-
inous concrete was introduced, read by the ,City Clerk and ordered laid on the-table
for one week: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
RESOLUTIO -N NO. °C -740, BE IT RESOLVED BY TILE 'CITY COMMISSION OF' THE iCITY OF YAKI.MA, WAS
That it is its intention to improve the lots and tracts of land
included within the following described district by constructing pipe sewers with.the
necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water`connections therefor, all of
said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and specially benefited by and
assessed for the above described improvement is situate within the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, and is bounded as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of North Avenue with the
easterly right of way line of the Northern Pacific Rail-
way; thence northwesterly along said right of way line,
to the north line of the south half of the northeast
quarter of Section 13, Township 13 North, .Range 18 E.W.M.,
thence easterly and parallel with North Avenue to the
east line of Lot 4, Park Addition; thence southerly along
said east line to the north line of Block 1 of .Cascade
Addition; thence easterly along said north line to the
east line of said Block 1; thence southerly along said
east line to North. Avenue; thence westerly along North
Avenue to the point of beginning.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of
the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the ,City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A.1411., on Monday,, the 11th day
of Aubust, 1947; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
due notice of said. hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed again-
st all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law
and as above described; and the City'Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the
City ,Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data
and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE 'CITY COPJMISSION this 14th day of July, 1947.

ORDIA]ANsCE NO. B -795, amending Ordinance No.-A-682 entitled "AN ORDINAN,E relating to
Local Improvement in the City of Yakima, providing for the assessment of the cost and
expense incurred in the making of any improvement, repealing all ordinances in con-
flict herewith and declaring an emergency ".
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -795 be passed as read: carried
Buck and .Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn: carried Buck and Clark
voting aye on roll. call. Bishop absent.
