The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday..
May 12, 1947, be approved as read: carried, Buck, Bishop, and Clark voting-aye on roll C::
call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following payrolls be allowed and the City
Clerk instructed to issue'warrants as follows: W. W. DeVeaux $190.00; Parking Meters
210.00; Sanitation $1934.05; Street Department.$3198.35; Cemetery - $1026.80; Irrigation
4'294.00; Water $4226.29; carried, Buck, Bishop, and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that claims on the follwing funds be allowed and the
City Clerk instructed to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $7000.742 Street
$4511.48; Library 4479.42* Cemetery $227.92; Irrigation $424.46;. Gas and Oil 755.18;
Cum. Res. (St. Purposes) p6189,45 and Water $6747.03: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No.-C-726, providing, for the construction of a domestic water system, known as
the Broadway -Lenox District, and upon oral request of Mrs. Jake Matter to have -Lots
2 to 16, Inclusive of Block 3 of Broadmead Addition eliminated from said district; It
is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed, excepting
therefrom said property above described: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting; aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -782, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima,
Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system; establishing; a Local Im-
provement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special
fund.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -782 be passed as read:

Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No. C -730, providing for the construction of a domestic water system known as
the "Baker St. District" and there being insufficient protest against said improvement
or any part thereof; It.is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement
district be passed as read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.

Washington by the construction of a domestic water system; establishing a Local Im-
provement District; providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special

RESOLUTION NO., C- 734, WHEREAS it is necessary to establish revised charges for the
Tahoma Cemetery operated by the City of Yakima.,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
Yakima, Washington that the following charges for services at said cemetery will be in
effect until further action by the commission:

RESOLUTION NO. C -735, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY OF YAKIMA, WAS,idINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system to
serve all of the lots and tracts of land 'included within the following described dis-
trict situated in Yakima County,- Washington:
Beginning on the south line of Tieton Drive 148.5
feet east of the east fine of 22nd Avenue South;
thence southerly and parallel with said east line
to the southerly line.of Lot Eight (8), Royal Crest
Addition; thence westerly along the south line of
Lots Eight (8), Nine (9) and Ten (10).of said addi-
tion to 22nd Avenue South; thence southerly along
22nd Avenue South to the, southerly line of Itiiarabel
Heights; thence westerly along said line to a point
148.5 feet westerly of the west line of 22nd Avenue
South; thence northerly and parallel with said west

line to the south line of Tieton Drive; thence east-
erly along said south line to the point of beginning.
said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants,
valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and
to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by
the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of
the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A. M. on Monday, the 9th day of
June, 1947, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters re-
lating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of
said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expence of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection,
publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro"
videdfby law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all
of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
