Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 21, 1947, be approved as read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the Municipal Firemen's Pension Board as esta.b-
li.shed by Chapter 91 of the Session Laws of 1947, be officially established and that it
be composed of the followingpersons - : N.K. Buck, Chairman; Pearl Benjamin, L.F. Bishop, f
Captain Harold Bailey, for a term o one year and Captain Jess Thacker., for a term of
two years: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting eye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hea.ringon
Resolution No. C -725 providing for theconstruction of curbs and gutters on Hanratty Drive
and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said. improvement or any part
thereof; it is ordered that theordinance creating a local improvement district be
passed as read; carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call,.
ORDINANCE NO. B =778, AN ORDINANCE Providing for the improvement of certain property by
the-construction of concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District
providing for themethod 'of payment therefor and. creating a special 'fund.

providing for the licensing and regulation of certain mechanical devices commonly
known a.s juke* boxes; providing penalties for'the violation hereof and fixing the effectiv.
date of this ordinance ", as amended by Ordinance No. B -719 adding Sections 3 -a and 3 -b
thereto.
�tESCLUTION N0. C -730, BS IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system
to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within the following described
district situated in Yakima County, Washington;
Beginning; at the intersection of Broadway and Stewart
Street, thence westerly along Stewart Street to the south-
west corner of Lot 10 of Blackburn's Half Acre Tracts;
thence northerly along the west line of Lots 10 and 9 of
Blackburn's Half A cre Tracts and the west line of Weaver's
- Court to the south line of the North Half of the north -
ea.st eua.rter (NEB) of the southwest quarter (SWIG-) of the
northeast quarter (NE -1) of Section 25, Township 13 North,
Range 18 E.W.M•., thence easterly along said south line to
a point 150 feet west of the west line of Cornell Avenue;
thence northerly and parallel with Cornell Avenue to t1:e
north line of the north half of the northeast quarter
(NEI) of the southwest quarter (SWU of the Northeast
quarter (NEB) of Section 25, Township 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M.; thence easterly along•said north line to Cor-
nell A venue; thence southerly along Cornell Avenue to
Baker street; thence easterly along Baker Street to Broad -
way; thence southerly along Broadway to the point of be-
ginning. The district includes Blocks 13, 14, 15 and 16
of Boulevard Second Addition, Lots 9 and 10 of Blackburn's
Half Acre Tracts, Lots 1 to 6 of Weaver Court and the
East 150 feet of the North Half of the northeast quarter
(NEB-) of the southwest quarter (SWU of the northeast_q' uAr-
t'er (NE2L) of Section 25, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.
Said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants,
valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and
to be constructed in full-accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared
by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed :improve -.
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a, meeting of
the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M. on Monday , the 19th. day
of May 1947, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing ona.11 matters
.relating to the said. proposed, improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining
the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make. the aforesaid 1-�,provement.
The cost and expence of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection,
publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as
provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to
submit to the City Commission at -or prior to the -date fixed herein�.for= .said hearing;
all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.

Engineer, is hereby accepted as follows:

Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima
upon the filing of the proper Bond as provided by low; carried, Buck, Bishop and.
Clark voting aye on roll call.

car rails from Yakima Avenue from 6th Avenue to Na.ches Avenue and on North 8th Street
from Yakima Avenue to "G" Street in the sum of $24,175.00, said contract is hereby
awarded to himand the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract on behalf of the City of Yakima, upon the filing of the proper bond as
.provided by law; carried, Buck, Bishop and -Clark voting aye on roll call.
