The ''ity Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bisop and Clark
present on roll call,
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 7, 1947, and adjourned.meeting thereof be approved as ready carried, Buck, Bishop
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following; payrolls be allowed and the City
Clerk instructed to issue warrants in payment thereof as follows:. Parking Meters
$256.5 ; Sanitation $2,056.35; Street x$2,939^25; Cemetery $1,056.40; Irrigation.$273.00;
Water ;2,632.25; carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll ca.11:
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following claims be allowed. and the City Cl
authorized to issue warrants in payment thereof; Current Expense %649.95; Street
x$2,577.63; Irri ation x$2,558.49; Cemetery $1,078.49; Gas & Oil $1, 1.95; F. R. & P.
X223.49; Water 7,629.7: carried,.,-.Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll calla
Moved by Clark, seconded. by-Bishop that this being the time for receiving bids for the
construction of a sewer system on Cornell Avenue and other streets in said City in
L. I. D. No. 617, and the bid of the State Construction Company in the sum of $7,332.38
being the only bid received; it is ordered that said contract be awarded to said firm an
the mayor and City Clerk are hereby instructed to execute,,ia contract on behalf of said.
City upon•the filing of the proper bond as required by law: carried, Buck,Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop'that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. 0-716, providing for the construction of an irrigation system on Summitview, Lincab
and other streets in the City of Yakima, and a protest from property owners on,Gl.enn
Drive being presented; it was ordered that the hearing be set over one week for further
presentation and investigation: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting a,ye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolution No. C -717, providing for a pipe drain on North l.lth Street and other streets
in the City of Yakima and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said
improvement, or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance creating.,a Local
Improvement District be passed as read :. carried, . Buck, Bishop and Clark voting a.ye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B =774, AN ORDINANCE Providing for the improvement of property iw the City
of Yakima, Washington by the construction of a pipe line; establishing a Local Improve-
ment District; providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -774. be passed as read: carried
Buck,-Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
