Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 17th, 1947 be approved as read carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by. Bishop, seconded by Buck that claims be passed on the following fLu-ids . and the. City Clerk authorized to issue warrants.as follows: Current Expense 603.19; Street. Department $199.52; Cemetery $30019; Irrigation 535.25: carried, Buck, . Bishop and Clark . voting aye.on� roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the complaint filed with the City Commissioners by the Woman's Century Club relation to the abatement of the smoke situation in the City of 'Yal,�:ima be referred to t he City Attorney. Moved by Clark, seconded--by Bishop that this being the, time for the postponed hearing on Resolution No. C -705, and it appearing that all requirements pertaining to a 75% petitior- of the property owners in said district having been satisfactorily complied with is ordered that the ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be passed as read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -759, AN ORDINANCE Providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima,, Washing ton, by grading, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -759 be passed as read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B. "760, AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No, B -710.: Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -760 be passed as read: carriied, Buck, Bishop.and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION N0. C- 7112 BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COTig.2ISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKINTA, WASH : That it is its intention to improve the south side of West Chestnut Street in Yakima,'Washington, from South 5t1,1 Avenue to South 6th Avenue, and the west side of 5th Avenue south from West Chestnut Street to a point 100 feet north of West Walnut Street, by constructing a Portland Cement - concrete sidewalk six feet in width according to plans and specification to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served and specially benefited by and assessed for the above described improvement is situated in Yakima County, Washington and de- !scribed as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 6, and 13 to 16, inclusive, in Block 292 of the Capitol Addition to Yakima, Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a- meeting of ,the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima . County, Washington, at the hour of 10 of clock A.T,T., on Monday the 17th day of March, 1947, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to -give due notice of said hearing and of the intention -to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easement, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto; shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and..properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Coi;nission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
