Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 3, 1947 be approved as read: carried, Buck Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. IkZoved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice ;to ,bidders, by publication, as required by law for the purchase of materials consisting -of pipe, fittings, valves, hydrants .and other appurtenances to be used by the City Water Department; said bids to be received on Monday, March 3rd 1947 at 10 o'-clock A.M3. carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that-the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise for bids. by publication, as required by law, for 2340 feet, more or less, of 3/4, inch, type K soft annealed copper tubing for the water department;.said bids to be received on Monday, March 3rd 1947 at 10 o'clock A.M; carried, Buck, Bishop and Clerk voting; aye on roll call._ RESOLUTION NO. C -7101 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASI3: That it is its intention to improve both sides of 19th Avenue South in Yakima, Washington from Division Street to MacLaren Street therein by construc ing a Portland Cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width according to the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served and specially benefited by and assessed for the above described improvement is situated. 'in Yakima County, Washington and de- scribed as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 12 inclusive -of Block 3, and Lots 13 to 24 inclusive of Block 4, HILLCREST ADDITION, accord- ing to the official plat thereof on file and of rec= ord in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified. to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the Cit.1 Commission to be held at its office in the City Nall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday the 3rd day of I:liarch, 19471 which time And place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed_ improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give'due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.' The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements,' engineering, surveying, advertising:, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commis- sion at, or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by lays to be by him submitted. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 10th day of February, 1947 1 D,Ioved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -706, postponed from January 27th 1947, for the purpose of receiving supplemental petitions from property owners in the district sought to be improved, and the City Engineer having reported to the City Commission that more than 75% of the property owners had signed said petitions; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as finally read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE INTO. B -757, ' AN ORDINANCE Providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima Washington, by the construction of a domestic mater system; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -757 be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and CLa.rk voting aye on roll call.
