Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 27th, 1947 and adjourned meeting thereof be.approved as read: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows; Sanitation Department $1,932.40; Parking Meters 4292.40; Street Department $2,524.15; Cemetery $454.30 and Water Department $1,002.90: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO C -707, WHEREAS, the members of the Planning Commission for the City of Yakima have been serving; as holdover members without formal re- appointment and it is de- sirable to complete the record as to such members, AND WHEREAS, the names hereinafter set forth have been submitted by the Commissioner of Public 1,1Iorks. and the individuals have been nominated by him as members of the Planning Commission, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission that the following are confirmed as members of the Planning Commission for the City of Yakima, to -wit: L. B. Vincent, Earl Fisher,, f Ray Glenn, for George Gannon, A. B. Collins; for the term expiring August 16, 1947, cr the term expiring August 16, 1948, the term expiring August 16, 1949 for the term expiring August 16, 1952 Cit -T Engineer, ex- officio member of the commission ADOPTED BY THE CITY COTvIMISSION, signed and approved this 3rd day day of February, 1947. RESOLUTION NO. C -708, WHEREAS, by ordinance, it is provided that on the first Monday in February of each year the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, shall pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission that the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substantially the form hereto attached and made a part hereof, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city advertising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city printing and advertising for two consecutive issues, which notice shall contain a general statement of the terms of the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened, and. providing that any and all bids may be rejected. day of February 1947. C -709, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to serve the following; described district: Lot 5, South half of Lot 63 Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14 of Central Park Addition to Yakima, Washington said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering grater for irrigation purposes to each lot within the proposed district and to be constructed in full accord - ance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Ya.kima County, Washington, at the hour "of 10 :00 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 24th day of February, 1947, which time and place are hereby fixed for the }tearing on all matters relating; to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to ,cake the aforsaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro- vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by lair to be by him submitted.
