Bishop having heretofore on November 5th, 1946 been duly elected to the office of Mayor and Commissioner of Finance, respectively, and having complied with the laws of the State of Washington and the City of Yakima as to their qualifica- tions as such officers, now proceed with the regular business of the City Commission of the City of Yakima. The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck9•::.and Commissioners Bishop and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that -the resignation of A. C. Cherry; J. P. Kohls and George V. Rankin, members of the Yaki_;Za Civil Service Commission for the Firemen's Relief and Pension Board be accepted: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the resignation of A. C. Cherry, J. P. Kohls and George V. Rankin, members of the Yakima Civil Service Commission for the Policemen's Relief and Pension Fund, ' be accepted: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that A. C. Cherry be appointed to the Yakima Civil Service Cormmission of the Firemen► s Relief and Pension Board to serve for a period of two years beginning January 1, 1947; that J. P. Kohls be appointed to-said Board to serve for a period of four years beginning January 1, 1947 and George V. Rankin be appointed to serve on said Board to serve for a period of,6 years, beginning January 1, 1947: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that A. C. Cherry be appointed to the Yakima Civil Service Commission for the Policemen's Relief and Pension Board to serve for a period of two years, beginning January 2, 1947; that J. P. Kohls be appointed to serve on said Board for a period of four years, beginning on January 2, 1947 and George V.-. Rankin be appointed to serve on said Board for a period of six years beginning January 2, 1947: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the deed from Yakima County to the City of Yakima for Lots 51 to 59, inclusive, of First Addition to suburban Acre Homes, to be used for Cemetery purposes only is hereby accepted, and the City-Clerk is hereby in- structed to have said deed recorded in the office of the County Auditor: carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to bidders for., Gas, Oil, Grease, Stove Oil, Diesel Oil, Kerosene and Solvent for the year 1947; said bids to be received on Monday, January 20th, 1947 at 10 o'clock A.M; carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on -roll call.
