Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
October 28, 1946 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Sanford, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids on one
Motorcycle and-an automobile, the following were the only bids received; Yakima Parcel
Delivery on the motorcycle in the sum of MO 7,71; and the Inland Motor Company °on a
Hudson Super deluxe Coupe in the sum of $1,087.75; said bids were both accepted: carried
Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolution No. C -699 providing for a cement sidewalk on the west side of North 5th Ave.,
from Willow Street to Quince and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to
said improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local
improvement district be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -740,- AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of the property on the
west side of Fifth Avenue North from Willow Street to Quince Street, in the City of
Yakima, by constructing a Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, five (5)-feet in width;
establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor,
and creating a special fund.
Moved by Clark, seconded'by Sanford -.that Ordinance No. B -740 be passed as read: carried
Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to advertis
for bids by publication as provided by law for the construction of a cement sidewalk on
the west side of North 5th Avenue from Willow Street to Quince Street; said bids to be
received on Tuesday, November 12, 1946 at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried, Mogren, Sanford and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, November lst
1946 at 10 o t clock A.M.
ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY - NOVEMBER 1, 1946, 10 A.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners Sanford
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the payrolls for the month of October 1946 are
hereby allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various
Dept. $4;986:60; Fire Dept. $10 550.00; Police Dept. 8,140.85; Health X1,000.00;
Engineering 1,745.50; Library ; 1,699.77; Irrigation 0885.00; F.R.& P. '011887.30; P.R. &P
X270.00;. Cemetery $220.00; Street $340.00; Water $7,144.40: carried, Mogren, Sanford
and Chrk voting aye on roll call.
