Moved by P;2ogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, September 30th, 1946.,1 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to,issue warrants as follows: Sanitation $1,755.32; Street x'2,589.75; Cemetery $741.00; Water_$1,463.60: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on' roll _call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that this being the. time for the h✓ ari ng on the assessment roll in L.I .D.. No... 603 and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confiri.ng said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0, B -7352 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Impr( ve- ment district No. 603 as created and established by ordinance-No, B -701 of the Ordin- ances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that Ordinance No. B -735 be passed as read: carried TiIogren, Sanford and Clark voting_ aye on roll call. RESOLUTION N0, C -699, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve the.property on the West side of Fifth Avenue North from Willow Street to Quince Street by the construction of a Portland Cement concrete sidewalk five feet in vridth, according:,to the specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with.the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows, to -wit: The east 135 feet of the west 270 feet of Lot .1 Leamingi s Addition,- the south 196 feet of the east 135 feet of the west 270 feet of Lot 2 Leamingts Addition, and the south 60 feet of the east 135 feet of the west 300 feet of -the northwest quarter of the -southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 13 North, Range 18, E. IV. M. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o1 clock A.M., on Monday, the 28th day of October, 1946, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense in connection with the construction ofsaid improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other-;expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above de- scribed; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. Moved by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that this being the time for the hearing on the budget for the ensuing year and there being no one appearing,at said hearing, it is ordered that said hearing be adjourned from day to day until Friday, October 11th, 1946 at 10 otclock A.Mt carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on -roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING' FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1946, 10 A.M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, MeV or Mogren and Commissioners Sanford and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the hearing on the budget for the ensuing year having been adjourned from day to day since Monday, October 7th 1946, as provided by law, and no taxpayer having appeared in person or otherwise to object to said budget or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance fixing the amount of the tax•levi to raise the necessary expenditures for the ensuing year be passed as read: carried,, T,Jogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on -roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -736, AN- ORDINANCE fixing the amount of the tax levies necessary to raise the amount of the estimated expenditures of the City of Yakima, Washington, for the en- suing year to be levied upon the real and personal property of sid city.
