September 23, 1946
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren, and Commissioners Sanford and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that' the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
September 16th, 1946, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read; carried,
Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that the City Engineer having.reported the-comple-
tion of the improvement in L.I.D. No. 600, by the Contractor, said work is hereby
accepted, and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said
district, and the City Clerk instructed -to give notice of hearing on said roll for
Monday, October 14th, 1946 at 10 o'clock A.M& carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark votir
ay e on roll call. .
RESOLUTION NO. C -697, A RESOLUTION revoking and cancelling Resolution No. C -687.
WHEREAS the City Commission of the City of Yakima did heretofore
and on the 27th day of May, 1946, adopt Resolution No. C -687 entitled: "RESOLUTION
authorizing the State Auditor to reserve monthly fuel.tax allotments and draw warrants
upon request of Director of Highways." and
WHEREAS because of the inability of the State of Washington to
obtain a aatisfactory.bid for certain highway construction to which said resolution
pertained the said State of Washington through its Director of Highways has geed to
the cancellation of said resolution and to its rescindment, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COPuMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA
That Resolution C -687 passed and adopted by the City Commission on the 27th day of May,
1946, and entitled as herein set forth be and the same is hereby cancelled and rescinde
September, 1946, PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE. CITY COMMISSION on the 23rd day of

Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that the matter of the petition for annexation of
parts of Block 1 & 2, and,all Blocks 3 and 4 Pleasant Avenue Addition is hereby ordered
as follows:

This matter being before the City Commissioners of the City of Yakima
on the petition of Cecil C. Clark, et al, for the annexation to the City of Yakima
of parts of Block 1 and 2 and all of .Blocks 3 and 4, Pleasant Ave. Addition, and
said petition appearing to be in order and the commissioners being advised in the
premises„
IT IS NOW ORDERED That Monday, the 14th day of October, 1946, at 10 A.M.,
at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima at the City Hall., Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for
hearing on said petition and that at said time and place a public hearing be and upon
said petition.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED That notice of this hearing be given by publication
of such notice in the Yakima Daily Republic for one publication, the same being a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Yakima, and by posting notice of
such hearing in three public places- within..said Pleasant Avenue. Addition, being the
territory proposed for annexation, and that said notice shall specify the time and
place of hearing and invite interested persons to appear and voice approval or dis-
approval of the annexation.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED That the petitioners pay the expense of publication
and posting of said notice of hearing.
