The City,Commission met in regular session,.Mayor Mogren, and. Commissioners Sanford and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
July 22, 1946 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that the bond of the State Construction Company in
the sum of $24,175,00 -for construction of the Stewart Street Sewer system in L.I.D..No.
606; is hereby approved and placed on file with the City Clerk; carried, Mogren,
Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
,Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that Resolution No. 0-693 be adopted as read:
carried,- Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION N0: 0-693, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its-intention to improve, the alleys in Blocks 34, 49,
53, 231, 232 and the east and west alley in Block 290, City of Yakima and also the alley
in Block 371 Capitol Addition, by paving the same with one course Portland cement
concrete pavement six inches in thickness,,,decording "to the specifications to be pre-
pared by the City Engineer and filed with tht City Clerk.`,.
The district to be.seryed and assessed for the above described
improvement is described as follows, to -wit:
All of Blocks 34, 49, 53, 231, 232 and all of Block 290 except
Lots 9 to 14, inclusive of said Block 290, City of Yakima and
also all of Block 371 Capitol Addition.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposedr,improvemen
are hereby notified to appear,and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of. Yakima., Yakima.
County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock on Monday, the 19th day of August, 1946,
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of a.11 matters relating to said
proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment
therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and o:
the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense in connection with the construction of said
Improvement, indluding the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices,
and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against all of the
property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and as above
described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at
or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all. of the data and other informatio
required by law to be by him submitted.
