The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners Sanford and
Clard present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by.Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
June 17, 1946 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by-Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authroi.zed to issue warrzants as follows: Current Expense $391.73; street.$617.
Cemetery $2.50; Irrigation $468.04.: carried,''Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
MovR,? by Clark, seconded by Sanford that the City Engineer having reported the comple-
tion of the improvement in L.I.D. No. 594, said work is hereby accepted and the"City
Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the 'City•Plerk
instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, July 15,-1946 at tbn
O'clock A.M: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.

tion of the improvement in L.I.D..No. 595, said work is hereby accepted and the City
Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk
instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, July 15, 1946 at 10'

Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that th -.is being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -686, providing for the construction of a domestic water system .on South:—.'••
Grandview Avenue and other streets more particularly described in said resolution and
upon protest of various property owners in said district,-certain tracts were eliminates
bringing the total objection to 2.67% of the total area comprising the.district; it is
hereby ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district for said-..improve
ment be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.. --
ORDINANCE NO. B -714, AN ORDINANCE amending Section .5 of Ordinance No. B- 120.entitled:
f9AN ORDINANCE'relating to and regulating fortune telling, phrenology, palmistry,.
astrology, and kindred subjects, repealing Sub- section 3 of Section 2, Ordinance-No.
A -2.36, providing penalties for the violation hereof, and declaring an emergency.1° and

ORDINANCE NO. B -719 AN ORDINANCE.providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima,
Washington, of certain property.contiguous to the present boundaries.of'-said City.

ORDINANCE NO. B -716, AN ORDINANCE..providing for the improvement, of property in the Cit3
of Yakima, Washington,'by the construction of a domestic water system; establishing a
local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating
a special fund.

allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Depts.
$4,981.76; Fire Dept. $10,510.00; Police Dept. $7486.65; Health Dept. $1,034.55•
Engineers Dept. $1,432.92• Irrigation $995.46; F. R. & P. $1,772.30; P.•,R.. & P 155.00;

RESOLUTION N0. C -640, A RESOLUTION establishing a new fund to be entitled 16Yakima City
Hall State Development Fund,DO - providing for the transfer of funds thereto and for
expenditures therefrom.
WHEREAS the City of Yakima has made application to the Washington
State Development Board for the allocation of State funds to assist in the construction
of a new city hall for the City of Yakima and it is required that a separate fund be
created.for the handling :of; the funds for said project, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima that
there be and there is hereby established a new fund to be entitled 18Yakima City Hall
State Development Fund1°• into which fund shall be deposited and credited'all'sums of
money received from or allocated by the State of Washington to the Washington State
Development Board for the Yakima City hall project as well as all funds transferred fr,
other =funds by the City 'of Yakima for the construction of said project.
BE IT FURTHER,RESOLVED that there be and there is hereby trans -
ferre'd.from the Cumulative Reserve Fund for Municipal Purposes the sum of One Hundred
Twenty -one Thousand Eight.Hundred Fifty -two and.o9 /100.Dollars ($121,552.09) to the
Yakima City Hall State Development Fund as matching money for that portion of the State
of Washington allocation for the city hall project required to be matched by law, and
the.City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to forthwith make''such transfer of
funds.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no expenditures shall be made from
said fund for any purpose other than the Yakima city hall-project-and that all
expenditures from such fund shall be in full accordance with the rule.s.and regulations
as prescribed by the Washington State Development Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission this 28th play of June,
1946.
