his wife, for the annexation to.the City of Yakima as provided'by Chapter, 128 'd•fz_the�" °'j"
Laws of 1945, of the East 1/2 of Block 2, except the North 5'feet' for County road of-
Section 36, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M. containing 4.75 acres is hereby accepted,
and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said petition by publication
and posting as provided by law, for monda.yi June 24, 1946, at 10 o'clock-A..M.: •carried,

RESOLUTION NO. C —�g9, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve the property lying within
the following described district by constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye
branches, manholes, flush tanks and. water•connections therefor, all of said improvement
-to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared
by the City engineer and filed with the Oi.ty Clerk.
The district -to.be served by and assessed for the above ti
described improvement is described'as follows., to -wit:
Beginning at the instersection of Lenox Anenue and Cornell
Avenue: thence.northerly along Cornell Avenue to Baker Street; then.ce..
easterly along Baker Street to.Broadway Avenue; thence northerly along
Broadway Avenue to the north line of DeAtley Park Addition; thence`--east-
erly along said north line to First•Avenue South; thence southerly along
First Avenue South to Campbell Avenue; thence easterly along Campbell Avenue
to Landon Avenue; thence southerly along Landon Avenue to the.-north line of
Lot 21, Block 1 of Broadway. Park Addition No. 2; thence easterly along said
north line to the-east line of said Block 1; thence southerly along the east
line of Block l.and Block 2 of Broadway Park Addition No. 2 to Lenox Avenue;
thence westerly along Lenox Avenue to First Avenue South; thence northerly
along First Avenue South to Campbell Avenue; thence westerly along Campbell
Avenue to Second Avenue South; thence southerly along Second-.Avenue South
line of Lot 1, Block 4 of Broadway Park Addition No. 1; thence westerly
along the south. lire of Lots 1 and 24 of said Block 4 to Broadway Avenue;
thence southerly along - Broadway Avenue to Lenox Avenue; thence westerly
along Lenox Avenue to the point of beginning.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvemenl
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima., Yakima
County, Washington,. at the.hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday the lst day of July, 1946,
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all.matters relating to said
proposed.improvement or objections thereto, and for determinging the method of payment
for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including 'the cost" of
acquiring right of way e'asements,.engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall'be bornes.by and assessed against
all of the property legally and properly assessable therefore as provided by law and as
above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed -to submit to the City
Commission at or prior to the date.fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information.required by law to be by him submitted.

ORDINANCE NO. B -711, AN ORDINANCE relating to th.e'support and maintenance-of the Yakima
Public Library and to the support and maintenance of the office of the'Building Inspect-
or of the City of Yakima; providing for the expenditure of money not provided for in the
budget and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Sanford, .seconded by Mogren that Ordinance No. B -711 be-pass-ed as read:
