The guy Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren-and Commissioners Sanford and
Clark present'on roll call.
Moved by Mogren,.seconded. by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
May 27-, 1946 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read. carried, Mogren,
Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
�MQVRA by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that an ordinance relating to the support and main-
tenance of the Public Library and of the office of Building Inspector; providing for the
expenditure of money not provided for in the budget and declaring.-an emergency was intro
duced and ordered laid,on the table for one week : carried, "Mogren, Sanford and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
Me%vPd by Clark, seconded by Sanford that thin being the time f•or the hearing'on
Resolution No. 0-695, providing tor. the:. •construction of a•domestic,:water system in what
is known as the Broadway Park.addition-No."3, and there being • "no'objections:in--writing
or otherwise -to said improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered..that the ordinance
creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and
Clark voting:: aye on. ro-11, call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -708, AN ORDINANCE - providing for the improvement of property in the City
of Yakima, Washington,. by the construct.ion:.of _ a domestic water system, establishing a
local improyeme nt district, providing for the method or payment therefor and creating a
special fund.
Moved by Clark, second by Sanford that Ordinance No.:B -709 be passed as read: carried,
Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting -aye on roll call:
ORDINANCE N0.'H -709, AN ORDI NANCE providing for increased compensation to'certain city
employees and*providing.for the•expenditure of money not provided for in the budget.

that a public emergency exists and ;estimating the amount of money required to'meet the
public emergency

RESOLUTION NO.- C -699, A RESOLUTION correcting.Resolution No. 0-397 and authorizing the
sale of the following described real estate:
__Beginning at a point on the easterly line of South
First Street 500 feet southeasterly from the inter-
section of said easterly line with the south line of
Pacific Avenue, thence northeasterly at right angles
a distance of 145 feet; thence south 24 0191 east 74.9
feet; thence south 13 ®100 east 25.6 feet; thence
southwesterly to a point on the easterly line.of South
First Street which is.100 feet southeasterly from the
point.of beginning; thence northwesterly along said
easterly -line 100 feet to the point of beginning.

ed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to- wit:

point of beginning; thence northwesterly along said

by reason of a deed therefor issued to H. L. Liston and Eva M. Liston, husband and wife,
to said City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima to sell said premises to A. B. Thisius and Martha M. Thisius, husband•and wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO1,,VED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to A. B. Thisius and Martha M. Thisius, husband and wife, for the total
sum of Twenty -two Hundred and no /100 ($2200.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, A. W. Mogren,
is hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl
Benjamin, is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the
said City of Yakima.
Adopted by the City Commission, signed and approved this 3rd day
of June, 1946.
