Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 8th, 1946, be approved as read: carried,�Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ,Move? by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds in payment therefor; Current Expense 7,165.59; Cemetery $97.24 Irriation $112.82; Gas & Oil $240.78; 'Cumule.tive Reserve �Mun. Purp) $26.25; Water $2,574.89; Library $819.52: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark vo i4,881_.c,9;'Street voting aye on roll call Moved. by, Clark, seconded by Sanford that this being the time for the-hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 596, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said a.ss.essment roll, or any part thereof, it is ordered that the ordinance confirm- ing said assessment roll and.every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Mogren,.. B -697, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No.-596 as created and. established by Ordinance No. B -682 of the Ordinance of the City of. Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that Ordinance No. B -697 be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -693, RESOLUTION authorizing execution of amended contract with. Seagrae Corporation covering purchase of one 100 foot trc,.ctor drawn aerial ladder truck.. WHEREAS the City of Yakima pursuant to call for bide therefor, did heretofore and on the 11th day of February, 194.6, execute a contract covering the purchase of one 100 foot tractor drawn aerial ladder truck with aluminum ladders, as therein specifically described, for the total purchase price of $21,595.00 besides tax, less specified. discount; and WHEREAS said contract building and installation of a full enclosed side, as stated in said. specifications; and. a.nd, specifications attached called for the. equipment compartment with doors on each WHEREAS the said Seagraves Corporation is unable to furnish said. compartments as required by the City of fakima and in lieu of furnishing said compart- ments is reducing the purchase price by $200.0.0 and it is desired -that a new contract be entered into accordingly, NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Yakima be and they are hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute a new contract with the said Seagraves Corporation covering the purchase of the new a.eria.l ladder truck for the purchase price of $21,385.00 plus sales tax an'd less 2% discount, in which said contract the said. equipment compartments are eliminated. This resolution and amended contract are entered into on the express understanding that the Howard Cooper Corporation, the agency through whom said truck was purchased, shall file with the City of Yakima its letter evidencing its agree- ment to nay such additional sums as may be'neceseary not to exceed an addional $150.00 over said. $200.00 contract discount to install said equipment compartments on said fire truck.
