Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of. the regular meeting of Monday, ,February 11th, 1946 be approved as read; carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved; -by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized-to issue warrants as follows: Engineering, $506.25; Street,$2,263.90; Garage $$130.00; Sanitation, x'$1,344.00; Cemetery, $269:60: .carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows:. Current .Expense $9,012.87.; Cemetery $277.46; Irrigation.$$3,368.94; Gas and Oil $1,033.99; Cumulative Reserve (Municipa.l Purposes) $33.75; Street $778.63; Water x$7;146.38; Library x$527.27: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on ro.11 call. w RESOLUTION NO. C -676, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Tacoma Masonic Corporation first mortgage 51 % gold bonds, and directing the City treaturer to endorse same. WHEREAS,. the City of Yakima is the o -tener and holder of the follow- ing Tacoma Masonic Corporation first mortgage 50 gold bonds, to -wit: D55, D58, D59, D60, D67, and D68 in the principal amount of $500.00 each, and Nos. M123, M157, M167,, M168, M179, M179, M180, M182, M185, M196, M189, M190, M191, M192, M203, M2o4, M205, M206, M207, M208, M209, M210, M211, M212, M213, M214, M215, M230, in the principal amount of.$1000.00 each, and WHEREAS, the City has been offered the sum of $85.00 per hundred dollars par value of said bonds besides accrued interest from December_1, 1945 to February 11, 1946 and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems said price to be at or above the fair market value of said bonds and considers it to be to the best interests of the City of Yakima to sell said bonds, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City commission of the City of- Yakima that the offer for the purchase of said bonds be accepted and the City proceed forthwith to sell said bonds at said price of $85.00 per hundred dollars par value of said bonds, plus accrued interest at 21% from'December 1, 1945 to February 11, 1946. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Faye Simmons as City Treasurer of the City of Yakima be andshe is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to proceed with the sale of said bonds and to execute as such City Treasurer on behalf of the City of Yakima. such bond power, assignments, or other instruments as may be necessary or requir- ed to transfer ownership of said bonds and effect sale thereof upon her receiving as such City Treasurer for the City of Yakima the agreed sale price of said bonds herein provided for. C -6771 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA : - That it is its intention to improve the alley in Block 270, Kers Addition. to North Yakima by paving the same with one course Portland cement concrete' six (6) inches thick, according to -the specifications to be prepared by the City Engin- eer and filed with the City Clerk.. as follows: The dixtrict to be served by the assessed for the above described Lots 1 to 7 inclusive, the south 40feet of Lots & and 15 and all of Lot 16 in`,Block 270 Kers Addition to North Yakima, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, Page 17, Records of the Yakima. County, Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yalkima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o °clock. on Monday, the l9th day of March, 1946, which time and place are hereby fir..ed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement;' or objections thereto, aid for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
