ORDINANCE N0. B -688, AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. B -687 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the .City of Yakima, Washing ton, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a local improvement -- district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund111 - Moved..by Clark, seconded by Mogre.n_ that Ordinance No. B -689 be passed as, read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Mov -d- by Clark, seconded by Sanford that this being the time for the hearing on- j Resolution No. 0-699 providing for the construction of domestic water system in L.I.D. No. 598, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to said.improvement or any part thereof;-it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0, NO, R -689, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property inIthe City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system, esta.blish- Ing a local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. `M'ov-? 1 1 February 4. 1946 WHEREAS, the Police Department is in immediate need of additional motor vehicle equipment for use in its department, and there is now available for im- mediate delivery two 1946 Ford two -door automobiles provided that immediate purchase is made thereof, and- WHEREAS, there is not time to call for bids for the purchase of said automobiles, and if bids are called therefor said automobiles will not be,availabl for purchase by the City, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of: the City of Yakima -: That the City of Ya:kfma purchase forthwith two 1946 two -door Ford automo- biles for the use of the Police Department at the purchase price of $1148.65, less excise tax, plus sales tax for each of said automobiles. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that am emergency is hereby declared to exist . and that the said automobiles be purchased forthwith and. that the same are neces- sary for the preservation of the public peace, property and safety of the City of Yakima -and that the calling for bids b.e and the same is hereby dispensed with.
