and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of
Monday, December 24th, 1945 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved asread:
carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Sanford, seconded. by Mogren that the following warrants be cancelled: No.
46394issued to Wayne Taylor. , dated August 20, 1945, in the sum of $2.20; on the
Current Expense Fund; No. 42178 issued to Western Union, February 17, 19'44, on the
Current Expense Fund In the sum of $3.61; No. 12525 issued to Yakima Auto Parts,
dat.ed May 15, 1944, on the Street Fund in the amount of $4.97: carried, Mogren,
Sanford and. Clark voting aye on roll call.
Movpa by Sanford, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows; Street Department $2,280.80;
Cemetery $228:00; Sanitation $1,241..25, carried,'Mogren, Sanford and Cla.10k voting
aye on roll. call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that beginning January lst, 1946, W. P. Lindsay
Sexton at. Ta.homa Ce retery be given a 90 day leave of absence without pay on account
of illness; said Lindsay to continue to occupy the residence on Cemetery property
during the 90 day period without cost except the necessary expense which he has here-
tofore taken care of: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Sanford that beginning.January 1, 1.946, C. W. Woodruff,
Bookkeeper at Tahoma Cemetery be granted a 90 day leave of absence, without pay, on
account of illness; at the .end of which time should he be able to continue his duties,
consideration will be given him before making other arrangements: carried, Mogren,
Clark and Sanford voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -667, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a domestic - water- syst-em to
serve all the lots and tracts of land included within the following described district
Beginning at a point on the north line of East "A" Street
160 feet northeasterly from the easterly line of North
Ninth Street, thence northwesterly parallel with the easterly
line of North Ninth Street to the north line of Grafton's
Addition; thence easterly along said north line to a point 1x40
feet easterly measured at right angles from the easterly line of
North Tenth Street; thence southeasterly parallel with said
easterly line of North Tenth Street to a point 150 feet north
_- of the north line of East "A" Street; thence easterly and
- parallel with said north line of East "A1l Street to the east
line of Section 19, Township 13 North, flange 19 E.W..M.; thence
southerly along said east line and the east line of Section 19,
Township 13 North, Lange 19 E.W.M.; to a point 150-feet souther-
ly measured at right angles from the southerly line of East
Yakima Avenue; thence westerly and parallel with said southerly
line of East Yakima Avenue to an intersection with the :northerly
line of Moxee Avenue; thence westerly along said northerly line
to a point 140 feet west of the west line of North 11th Street
extended; thence northerly n.nd oa.rallel with said west line to a
point 150 feet .south of the south line of East "A" Street;
thence westerly and parallel with said south line to the easter-
ly line of North 10th Street; thence westerly.t.o the point of
beginning..
said improvement to-consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants,
valves and other appurtenances for the purpose,of supplying water for domestic use,
and. to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be pre-
pared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are .hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a. meeting
of 'the City Commission, „to be reld at its office in the City Ha.1l in the City of
Yakima, Yakima. County, Waehington, at the hour of 10 :00.0' clock A.M., on Monday the
28th day of January, 1946, which time and. place are hereby fixed.for the hearing on
all matters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for
determining the method of payment therefor; and. the City Clerk is hereby directed to
give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection,
publication of notices and. all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor,.as pro-
vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed. herein for said hearing, all
of the data and other information required by law.to be by him submitted.
