October 29th, 1945, and,adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Sanford, seconded by'Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Sanitation 048.00; Street X52.50; carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice to bidders for the purchase of a 100 foot Metal Aerial Ladder Truck, together with the necessary equipment; said bids to be received on Monday, December.3rd,.1945 at,10- o'clock, A. Mo carried, Mogren, Sanford a.nd.Clark,woting aye on roll call. Moved by Sanford, seconded by Clark that the Mayor having received a. letter from the Association of Washington Cities, inviting him to attend the A. M. A. Convention at Chicago,as one of,its representatives, the Association paying $250.00 toward. the expense of said trip; it was decided by the Commission that the invitation should be accepted and that the Mayor should attend sa.id'convention: carried, Mogren, Sanford. and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.0 -662, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve the alley running east and west through Block 230,.also the alleys in Block 250, City of Yakima, by paving the same'with. one course Portland cement concrete six, inches in thickness, according to the specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows, to —wit: Beginning at the intersection of West Yakima Avenue and Second Avenue North; thence northerly along Second Avenue North to a point 240 feet north of the north line of West Yakima Avenue; thence westerly and parallel with said north line to Third,Avenue North; thence northerly along Third Avenue North to West "A" Street thence westerly along West "A "' Street to Fourth Avenue North; thence southerly along Fourth Avenue North to West Yakima Avenue; thence easterly to beginning. The said described district includes Lots l to 7 inclusive, the'south 40 feet of,; -.Lots 8 and 15'and Lot 16 in Block 230. Also Lots 1 to 16 inclusive of Block 250. All persons who may desire-.to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and.present such objections.;:if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City,Hall`_in the City of Yakima., Yakima County, Washington, at the hour often o'clock on Monday., the 26th day of November 1945, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk.is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the _aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and as hbove de- scribed; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. C -663 TO NORTH YAKIMA. A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on-Petition for Vacation of Alley. WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of alley described as follows,., to —wit: The Westerly 130 feet of the existing alley in Block 330 .as shown on' "- th°e�.o;r.iolnal plat of Capittol kdditib to North Yakima r 422 November 5, 1945 (now Yakima), Washington, according to the plat thereof on file with the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, situated in the City of Yakima, State of Washington. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF.YAKIMA: That said Petition shall be wrought on for hearing and determinati n on Monday, the 10th day of December, 1945, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon on said day at the- office'of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima Courty, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same.may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law-. :ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 10th day of November, 1945.
