Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday November 20; 1944, be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White,and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No.-C -639 providing fora cement sidewalk 5 feet in width'on the west side of North 6th Street between F.Street and G Street, and there-being no protests -in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; it .is ordered that the ordinance creating a local- improvement district'be passed as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.. ORDINANCE NO.,B -523, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of the of the.West'side of North'Sixth Street between F Street and G Stree, in the City of Yakima,, by, construct ing t a Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk, five (5) feet in width; establishing ::-Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefore, and creating a special .fund. - Moved by Clark, seconded by White that Ordinance No. B -623 be :passed as read: carried, Mogren,- White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Clark that the -City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to contractors by publication as required by law for bids for the construction of a sidewalk, as provided by Ordinance No. B- 623;.said bids to be received bn Monday, December 11th, 1944 at -10 o'clock A. M: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -624,, AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. B -622 entitled "An Ordinance regulating the licensing loading platforms, scales and similar encroachments on the surface of the streets'of the City of- Yakima, providing for license fees and street rental and providing for a penalty for violation hereof." Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that :Ordinance B -624 be passed as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -540. A RESOLUTION authorizing -the sale of a. strip of land 12 feet wide and 130 feet long lying west of and adjacent td Lot 9, Block 29, Elberta Addition, and located in the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 13 North, Range 18, E;W.M. WHEREAS, the City of.Yakima is' the owner of the following des- cribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit: A strip of land 12 feet wide and 130 feet long lying west of and adjacent to Lot 9, Block 28, Elberta Addition, and located in the Southwest 1 /4, -of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13, Town- ship 13;North, Range 19, E.W.M. by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of the City of Yakima, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent local improvement assessments, and WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of Yakima to sell said premises to Hazel E. Spear, a widow, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they are hereby author- ized to be sold to Hazel E. Spear, a widow, for the total sum of Forty -five and no /100 ($45.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, A. W. Mogren, is hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Benjamin, is hereby authorized and directed to attest the -s7a me for and on behalf of-the said City of, Yakima.
