The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren and Commis,s:ioners White and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved. by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday
October 30th, 1944, be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clam voting aye
on roll call.
..Moved by Clark, seconded by White that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to contractors by publication for the construction of a pipe.sewer with the
necessary wye branches, manholes, flush'.tanks and water connections therefor on
property lying between'Grandview Ave'and Hillerest'Ave.'and between Barge Street and
West Chestnut Street; said bids to be received "on Monday, November-20th,1944, at 10
o'clock A.M: carried; Mogr.en,White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO.C2639, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
-That it is its intention to improve the propert on*the west side
of North Sixth Street between "F" Street a.nd "G" Street, by the construction of a
Portland Cement Concrete.sidewalk five feet in width, according to the specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above des-
cribed improvement is described as follows, to -wit;
Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, in
Block 104, City of Yakima,
Washington.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting
of the City Commission to-be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of
Yakima,'Ya.kima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A.M., on Monday the
27th day of November, 1944, which time.and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of
all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for
determining the method of payment therefore; and the City Clerk is hereby directed
to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improve-
ment.
The cost and expense in connection with the construction of said
improvement, Including-the engineering, inspection, advertising publication of notices
and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against all of
the property legall and properly assessable therefor as provided by ;aw and as above
described; and the ity.Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the Lity Commission
at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other
information required by law to be by him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 6th
day of November, 1944.
