The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren and Commissioner Clark present
on roll call, White absent.
Moved by Mogren seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 7th, 1944 be approved as read: "carried Mogre.n, -and -...Clark voting aye.on,,roll
call, White absent. =
Moved by;Mogren, seconded by Clark that the following payrolls be allowed and the City
Clerk authori,zed.to issue warrants as follows: Street Dent. Sanitation
$1,239.60; Police Dept. $51.10;, Cemetery $669.75; and Reaith ,1.03: carried, Mogren
and Clark voting aye on roll call, White absent.
Moveq by Mogren, seconded by Clark that the following dlaims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $3,079.60;
-City Street $1,651.71.: Library $269.44; Park $1 27-.13; Cemetery $222.35; Irrigation
$225.69. Water $2,092..91; Cemeter Trust $390.- 00;.Cumulative Reserve Fund for Municipal
Purposes $3.3,7.94.40; P. R. & P. 141.22; carried, Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll
call, White absent.
Moved-by Clark, seconded by Mogren that the bid of J. M. de Blaslo in the sum of $570.1C
for constructing a cement sidewalk on South 6th Street, Lots 1 to 9, Block 119, Rainier
Addition, in L.I.D. 592, is hereby accepted as the lowest and best bid, and the Mayor
and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract for and on behalf of said City for the
doing of said.work upon - receipt of the paper bond therefore as required by law. carried,
Mogren, and Clark voting aye on roll call, White absent.
Moved by.Clark, seconded by Mogren that the bid of. J. M. DeBla.sio-in the sum of $697.01
for the construction of a cement sidewalk on the east side of South 7th Street from
Beech to Race in L.I.D. NO-596, is hereby accepted as the lowest and best bid and the.
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a. contract for and on behalf of
said City of Yakima for the doing of ,said work upon receipt of the proper bond as re-
quired by law: carried, Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call, White absent.
Moved by Mogren,. seconded--by-Clark that the written acceptance by the Pacific Power
and Light Company of Ordinance No. B -609, granting a non- exdlusive franchise to said
Company for a term of 25 years, is hereby.accepted by the City Commission and placed on
file with the City Clerk: carried, Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call, White
absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -637, WHEREAS, the City of Yakima. is the owner-of the following de-
scribed real property in Yakima County, State of Washington; to -wit:
Lot 15, Block 1, Bungalow Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima),
according to the official plat thereof now on file and of re-
cord in the office of the Auditor of Yakima. County, Washington,

by reason of a deed issued therefor by the'Treasurer of Yakima County, County of
Yakima, State of Washington, on sale of said property for delinquent taxes, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said.City
of Yakima to sell said premises to J. W. Lyman and Vera G. Lyman, husband and wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to J. W. Lyman and Vera G. Lyma.n,' husband and wife, for the total sum
of One Hundred Twenty -five and no /100 (P125.00) Dollars; and the Mayor, A. W. Mogren, is
hereby authorized to execute-"a deed to.said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Benja.mil
is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said City
of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 14th
day of August, 1944.
