Moved by Moggren, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 8th,1944 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the. following payrolls be allowed and. the City Clerk authorized'to issue warrants as follows: City Street $1,153.50; Cemetery $931.75; Sanitation $1,149.10: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $20,849.11; City Street $x2,924.15 :Library $439.31; Park $1,��7.79 Cemetery x240.09• Irrigation $ 8.90; Water 2,934.20; Delinquent Property Sales �$11,�49.1 P. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that Margaret Talcott be appointed to the office of cashier in the City Treasurer's office; said appointment to take effect May 16, 1944 and to continue during the pleasure of the City Commission: carried, Mogren, White and Clar voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -615, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to improve the property lying between Grandview Avenue and Hillcrest Avenue, and between Barge Street and West Chestnut Street by constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connections therefor, all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plana.and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows; to -wit, , Lots 1 to 11 of Extension West Yakima, Avenue Addition and Lots 1 to 20 of Orchard Drive Addition, and Lots 1 to 7 of Apex Addition, and Lots 1 to 10 of Freece Addition, and Lots 1. to 10 of Vandiver Place and Lots 1 to 6 to Yakima Avenue Addition, anc? the following; described tracts in Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18, E. W. M.; The East 268 feet of the South Half of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter less the South 25 feet and the East 20.feet thereof; and, The South -3 acres of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the.Southeast Quarter EXCEPT Streets: and The North 57 -1/2 feet of the South 92 -1/2 feet of the West 260 -1/2 feet of the East 280 -1/2 feet of the North Half of of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a. meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima., Yakima, County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., on Monday the 5th day of June, 1944, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay - 4_, ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said .hearing and. of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. C -6161 A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lots 14 and 15, Block 97, Original Town of North'Yakima (now Yakima). WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following d.escrib ed real property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Lots 14 and 15, Block 97, Original Town of North Yakima. (now Yakima) , according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Tr asur- er of Yakima County, County of Yakima., State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said. property for delinauent taxes, and "- WHEREAS, it appears to be for the bert,interest of said City of _Yakima to sell said premises to Stanley V. Chong, husband and wife for the total sum of Eight Hundred and no /100 (800.00) Dollars, payable as follows: the sum of One Hundred Sixty and no /100 ($160.00) Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract herein authorized and the balance of Six Hundred.
