The City Commisg.ion met in regular session, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners White and
Clark present on.roll call.
.Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 27, 1944 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read.: carried, Mogren
White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -603, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 17, Block 44, Tennant
& Miles West Modern Addition; Lot 18, B16ck,44, Tennant & Miles New Modern Addition.
WHEREAS, The City of Yakima is the owner of the following descri
ed real property situated in Yakima., Yakima•'County, Washington, to -wit:
Lot 17, Block 44,.Tennant & Miles' West Modern Addition to
North Yakima ( now Yakima) , and 4--l- It 7�
Lot 18, Block 44, Tennant & Miles' New ModernA Addition to
North Yakima (now Yakima),
accof'ding to the official plat thereof noi,r on file and of. record in the office of the
Auditor of Yakima. County, tashington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the
Treasurer of Yakima County, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said. property
for delinquent taxes, , and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of aaid City of
Yakima to sell said premises to Robert E. Kinney and Erma M. Kinney, husband and wife,
upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to Robert E. Kinney and Erma M. Kinney, husband and wife, for the total
sum of Three Hundred Ten and no /100 (310.00) Dollars, payable as follows: the sum of
Sixty -two and no /100 ($62.00) Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract here -
tn authorized and the balance of Two Hundred. Forty -eight and no /100 ($248.00) Dollars
in monthly payments of Seven and no /100 (47.00) Dollars, beginning-May 3rd, 1944, and
continuing until the entire amount has been paid. All deferred payments to bear inter-
est at the rate of six per cent per annum payable monthly with principal payments.
The purchaser under said' contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling due under any local Improvement District or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said
premises, and the Mayor And City Clerk of said City are hereby authorized and. directed
to enter into a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereina.bove
set forth.
Said agreement to be intered into shall also contain suitable
provisions requiring any buildings upon said premises to be insured at the expense--,of
the second parties in a solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as its
interest may appear and shall contain a provision that in case of destruction of or
damage to any buildings or improvements on said -premises such damage or loss shall be
the loss of second parties and shall,not be a ground for rescission of said.contract;
and 'said contract shall also contain a suitable provision providing for forfeiture
thereof upon failure of second party to make any payment of principal, interest taxes
or assessments therein provided for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice
of such forfeiture to be for 30 days and service thereof to be by servintg same person-
ally upon second parties or by mailing to them at Yakima, Washington, and a further
provision shall be placed therein that upon final payment of said principal and inter-
est and taxes and assessments the..first party shall convey said premises to second
parties by a good and sufficient quit Claim Deed conveying all the interest said City
of Yakima has now in said premises; end the further provision shall be contained in
said contract against the assignment of second parties without the consent of first
party had and obtained.

ORDINANCE NO. B -606, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the operation
of the Water Department of the City of Yakima; providing for the management and control
thereof; providing for rules regulating and fixing the use and price of water supplied
by the City and connections therewith; amending and rewriting Ordinance A- 988,as amend-
ed; providing penalties for the violation thereof; repealing certain ordinances and
declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Mogren and read by the City Clerk.
Movedby Clark, seconded by White that Ordinance No. B -606 be passed to its second.
reading and read by title only: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Clark, and seconded. by White that Ordinance No. B -606 be passed to it third
