Moved. by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 7th, 1942-be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: City Street Mtse. $292.80; Sanitation $925.00; Cemetery $190.00; Irrigation $174.40; Fire Department x$477.86; City Street Mtse. (Gas) $1291.62; carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moverl by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense.$2,018.40; City Street $2,249.43; Library $572.1 , Park $78.91; Cemetery $222.68; Irrigation $137.20; Water $1,774.57; L.I. Guaranty 1,000.00; F. R. & P. X303.00; Parking Meter x$42.32; P. R. & P $5.00 and Cemetery Trust X1,600.00: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners White and Clark present on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -5.79, entitled "AN ORDINANCE creating a special fund to be known as "DELINQUENT. PROPERTY SALES FUND "; providing for sources of revenue thereof and for dis- bursements to be made therefrom and authorizing the purchase and sale of certain Local Improvement District bonds and the disposal of property acquired by Local Improvement District foreclosure, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Mogren and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by White that Ord.inance'No. B -279 be passed to its second reading and read, by title only: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by White that Ordinance No. B -279 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by White that Ordinance No. B -278 be passed as finally read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -579, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Section 5 of Ordinance No. B -95 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to, and providing for, a license or occupation tax upon certain businesses, occupations, pursuits and privileges; defining offenses and providing penalties ", by increasing the license fee or occupation tax on persons en- gaged in selling or furnishing electric light and power and by levying an annual lic- ense fee or occupation tax on persons engaged in the telephone business, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Mogren and read by the City Clerk. Moved by White, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -579 be passed of its second reading and read by title only: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -557, A RESOLUTION authorizing the expenditure of an additional sum of money for the improvement of certain streets in the City of Yakima: WHEREAS: Due to an increase in the cost of labor and materials and to thefact that additional streets were improved, the total cost of City Street Project No. 36 amounted to $5,589.29, instead of $4,830.35 as shown in Resolution No. C -542. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the expenditure of an additional sum of $757.93 be and the same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 197 of the Laws of 1937• 221 Move(I by Clark, seconded by White that this being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a tourer at the Yakima Airport, the following bids were received: W. M. Yeaman $$2,991.00 Gilbert H. Moen 3,424.75 Wm. McCulloch 7,120.90 The bid of W. M. Yeaman in the sum of $2,991.00 being the lowest and best bid, said contract is hereby awarded to him, and the Mayor and City Clerk author - ized.to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for the construction of said project: carried, Mogren,*White and Clark voting Moved bt Clark, seconded`by Mogren that the claim aye on roll call. of Seth C. Moved by Clark, seconded by White that Resolution No. C -557 be adopted as read: car- ried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll calla RESOLUTION NO.'C -558, A RESOLUTION authorizing the Expenditure of an additional sum of money for the improvement of certain streets in the City of Yakima:* WHEREAS, Due to an increase in the cost of labor and materials, the total cost of City Street Project No. 37 amounted to $4,624.07., instead of .$4,407.6 as shown in Resolution No. C -548. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the expenditure of an additional sum of $216.43 be and the same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 187 of the Laws of 1937.
