Moved by Mogren, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 17, 1942 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on'roll call. Moved. by Mogren, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants'as follows: City Street Mtse. (Gas Tax),$147.84; City Street Mtse. $1070-.28; Parking Meter Fund $45.36; Irrigation $114.66; Cemetery $141.28; Cemetery.Care $393.72; Parks $910.59; Sanitation $809..34: ca.rried,.Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the continued hearing in the matter of the revocation of the permit of Valley Poultry Company and Elmer Mugaas to kill chickens inside the City limits; upon recommendation of Dr. Stanley Benner, Health officer, said permit is hereby revoked: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on-roll call. Moved. by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the claim of Alma Anderson,;for damages in the sum of $47.55, alleged to have been sustained by reason of roots growing from a trunk line sewer back of the premises at No. 603 South 13th Avenue into the sewer con- nection with said premises, is hereby rejected: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Upon recommendation of Geo. W. Clark that $15,000.00 of Cemetery Trust Funds be invested in Series "G ", 2J% United States Government War Bonds; it was moved by F. F. Herring, City Treasurer, seconded by Pearl Benjamin, City Clerk, members of the Investment Com- mittee, that said investment be- approved. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the action of the Investment Committee be approved and ratified: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -569, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Im- provement District No. 574, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons-attach- ed for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Mogren and read by the City Clerk. Moved-by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -569 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -569 be- passed to its third reading and -read in full: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by:Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -569 be passed as finally read: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting ayec�on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -570, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of money not provided for in the budget adopted by the City Commission of the City of Yakima for the fiscal year 1942, estimating the amount of money required to meet a public emergency, and declaring that an emergency exists ",.was introduced by Mogren and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -570 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -570 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
