Move(9 by Mo ren, seconded by Washburn that the minuteslof the regular meeting of Monday, June 15, 1942 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 574, providing for the construc- tion of a domestic water system.for the Larson Tract.at 16th ahrl Lenox Avenues, said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, July 13th, 1942 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Mogren, Wash- burn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this-being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -550, providing for the construction of a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width on both sides of Custer Avenue between Folsom Avenue and Browne ,A.ve- nue, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; it is ordered *tha.t the ordinance creatinc a Local - Improvement District be passed as finally read: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -563, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providingifor the improvement of both sides of Custer Avenue between Folsom Avenue and Browne Avemllie, in the City of Yakima, by constructing a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width; establishing a local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. i Moved by Mogren, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -563 be passed to its second reading and read b;r title only: carried, Mogren, Washburn and Cl ?rk voting ave on roll call. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Ma.yor;Mogren and Commissioners Wash- burn and Clark present on roll call. i RESOLUTION NO. C -551, A RESOLUTION authorizing execution of purchase agreement for Parking Meters. I WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Commission of the City of Yakima that it is advisable to install parking meters in the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Yakima is desirous of having installed the type of meter sold by M. H.. Rhodes, Inc., and believes that said meters would best serve the interests of the said City of Yakima, and has arranged for the purchase of said meters, as provided for in that certain agreement attached hereto, designated "PURCHASE AGREEMENT ": i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Yakima do enter into said Purchase .Agreement, in the form as attached hereto, with M. H. Rhodes, Inc., and that the Mayor and Clerk of said City of Yakima. are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the'said City of Yakima.
