Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, January.19th, 1942 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: City Street $1893.63; Sanitation
$858.75; Crusher $77.25; Cemetery $$110.00; Cemetery Care $104.00-,and Street Mtse. $49.
89: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, January
30th, 1942 at nine o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on

ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 1942, 9 A. M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that warrants issued by the City
of Yakima, drawn on the Current Expense Fund of said City, on and after February 1,
1942, be registered warrants and be at the time of their issuance marked "Not Paid
For Want Of Funds ", and the date of such endorsement over the signature of the Treas-
urer, and that the issuance of such registered warrants continue until such registered
warrants already issued shall have been redeemed and there be on hand in said Current
Expense Fund sufficient monies to pay warrants drawn on said fund as issued.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said warrants shall draw interest
at not to exceed 4% from and after their presentation, and that said interest rate
appear on the f ace of said warrants; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said warrants shall be redeemed and
paid according to their number, date and issue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that whenever the Treasurer of this City
shall in his hands as such Treasurer the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) belong-
ing to such current expense fund upon which warrants are outstanding, he shall make
a call for such warrants to that amount in the order of the issuance of.such warrants,
and shall cause such call to be published in the official newspaper of the City in the
first issue of such newspaper after such'sum shall have been accumulated, such call
to describe by number the warrants called and specify the fund upon which the same
were drawn; PROVIDED FURTHER, that the City Commission of the City of Yakima may from
time to time prescribe a less that
than $500.00 upon which such call shall be made,
and PROVIDED FURTHER, that if the warrant longest outstanding on such fund shall ex-
ceed the sum of $500.00, or such lesser sum as may be hereafter fixed by the City
Commissioners for the redemption of said warrants, then no call need be made for war-
rants on such fund until the amount due on such warrant shall have accumulated; and
PROVIDED FURTHER, that no more than two calls shall be made by the City Treasurer in
.one month; and PROVIDED FURTHER, that the City Treasurer shall pay on demand, in the
order of their issue, any warrant when there shall be in the Treasury sufficient funds
applicable to such payment.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 30th
day. of January, 1942.

C -539, A RESOLUTION
providing for the registration of warrants
drawn
on the current
expense fund of
the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS,
the Current Expense Fund of the City of
Yakimw is now
overdrawn and
there are not now
available any other funds of the City
of Yakima to
loan to the current
expense fund
for the payment of warrants drawn on
said fund for
necessary city
expenses; and
WHEREAS,
it has been determined that registered
warrants drawn
on the Current
City
Expense Fund of
bearing interest
the City of Yakima will be accepted at
4 %;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that warrants issued by the City
