November 25, 1940
The City Commission met in regular session; Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, November 18, 1940 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call..
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 557, and there being no objections
in writing., or otherwise, to-said assessment roll or any part thereof; it is ordered
thet the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed
as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on'roll call.
ORDINANCE N0. B -499, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local,.Improvement District No. 557, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -419
of the ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Washburn and read-by the
City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -499 be passed to its second
readinb,and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -499 be passed to its third
reading and read in full carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Move (9. by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -488 be passed as finally
read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn to meet Saturday, November
30, 1940 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept.
$3401.43; Health $1112.50• Police $4420.06; Fire $6334.16; Engineering $615.85; F. R.
& P. i7 2.05; P. R. & P. 1196.25 Revolving $588.71; Irrigation $413.29• Library
X769.05; Cemetery $127.57; Park 150.00; City Street $215.00 and Water 3518.98:
carried, Riley, Washburn aid Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -499, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of that portion of
the East 70 feet of the West 270 feet of Lot 3, Leaming's Addition to North Yakima,
now Yakima; lying southerly and westerly.of the State Highway as established on the
ground on November 25, 1940; and directing calling for bids." was introduced by Riley
and read by the City Clerk.
Moved. by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -499 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

RESOLUTION NO. C -496, A RESOLUTION calling for bids in connection with the sale of
that portion of the East 70 feet of the West 270 feet of Lot 3, Leaming's Addition
to North Yakima, now Yakima, lying southerly and westerly of the State Highway as es-
tablished on the ground on November 25, 1940.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has by ordinance authorized and
directed the sale of the property described in the caption hereof; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Yakima to call for bids
in connection with tie sale of saidproperty, and to sell said property to the highest
and best bidder, and to have said bid submitted by the time said ordinance becomes ef-
fective; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That there be published in the official newspaper of the City
of Yakima, for at least one publication, a notice calling for bids for the.purchase
of the property, described in the caption hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said property be sold to the highest
and best bidden and that said notice calling for bids provide that the City may reject
any and all bids.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 30th
day of November, 1940.
