Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, September 30th, 1940 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot- ing aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: L.I.D. Revolving $208.45; Irriga- tion .?100.10; City Street $1210.23; Crusher $289.36; Sanitation $769.25; Cemetery 84.00; Cemetery Care $132.00; Park $268.00; City Street Construction e803.07; Water 960.40: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -484, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY-OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tank and water connection therefore, to serve the following described district; Beginning at-the intersection of Lenox Avenue with Ninth Avenue South; thence north along Ninth Avenue South to a point 50 feet north of the southwest corner of Lot 31 in Yakima Acre Tracts; thence easterly and parallel with the south line of Lot 31 to the east line of Yakima Acre Tracts; thence south along said east line to Lenox Avenue; thence west along Lenox Avenue to the point of be- ginning; said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 28th day of October, 1940, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters related to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be distributed as follows: The labor for this project shall be furnished by the Works Progress Administration, and the balance thereof shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Com- mission at for prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. B -478, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending subsection (b) of Section 2, and amending subsection (b) of Section 10, and amending subsection (b) of Section 15 of Ordinance No. B -293, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries; regulating and limiting the use -of buildings and premises; and the height and size of buildings,; providing for yards, courts and other open spaces establishing districts for said purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and repealing Ordinances Nos. B -22, B -35, B -43, B -51, B -71, B -126, B -147 and B- 17211, was introduced by Riley and read by the.City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the irrigation system in Local Improvement District No. 567, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice'of hearing on said roll for Monday, October 28th, 1940 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 479, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 558, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -427, of the ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced b.y Washburn and read by the City Clerk.
