Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, September 23rd, 1940 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the payrolls for the month of September, 1940 be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept. $3,276.43; Health Dept. $1112.50; Fire Dept. $6494.16; Police Dept. $4580.83; Engineer- ing Dent. $685.38; Library $769.40; L.I.D. Revolving $962.50• Irrigation li375.23; F. R. & P. x$657.05; P. R. & P. $196.25; Cemetery $127.57; Park 4150.00; City Street $215. 00 and Water $3704.09: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported.the com- pletion of the construction of curbs and gutters in L.I.D. No. 562, said. work is here- by accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of the hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, October 28th, 1940 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -475, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 568, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for-the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -475 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -475 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. B- 1I -77, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for.the improvement of property In the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment there- for; and creating a. special fund ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk.
