Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, Se -otember 3, 1940 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. MnvAd by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the improvement of the alleys in Blocks 230, 231, 250, 251, 270 and 290 by paving the same with a six inch one course pavement 20 feet wide, as provided by Resolution No. C -478 heretofore adopted on the 29th day of July, 1940, is hereby rejected, and the creation of a Local Improvement District aban- doned: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the comple- tion of the Hillcrest Domestic Water System in Local_ Improvement District No. 558, said work is hereby accepted and the' City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll in said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, October 7, 1940 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved. by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the comple- tion of the sewer system in Local Improvement District No. 569, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said distric and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, Septem- ber 30th, 1940 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B_472, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in local im- provement district No. 555, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attach - ed for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. Mnved by Riley, seconded'by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -472 bd passed to its second - reading and read by title only:, carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Mnver9 by Riley, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -472 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
