Moved. by Riley, seconded. by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 26th,.1940 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -481, WHERREAS, there has been submitted to the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a budget covering the detailed estimate of all expenditures proposed to be made by the City of Yakima for the ensuing fiscal year and a statement of the probable revenue from sources other than taxation for the ensuing fiscal year, in the manner and form prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the same has been considered by the City Commission in detail and such revisions and additions made as has been deemed advisable; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the aforesaid budget be and the same is hereby adopted and approved as the budget for the City of Yakima for the ensuing fiscal year and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice that said budget has been completed and placed on file, and a copy thereof will be furnished any taxpayer who will call at the office of the City Clerk therefor, and that the City Commission of the City of Yakima will meet on the first Monday of October, 1940, at the offices of the City Commission in said City at the hour of 9 o'clock A.M., for the purpose of fixing the final budget and making the tax levies and notifying any taxpayer that he may appear at said meeting and be heard for or against any part of said budget, znd said notice shall be published once each week for t wo consecutive weeks immediately following the adoption ofsaid pre- liminary budget. C -492, A RESOLUTION authorizing the leasing of certain machinery for the city rock crusing plant, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the power equipment operating the city rock crushing plant has become unusable; and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is in immediate need of crushed rock for its street repairing, maintenance and construction program, and is in immediat need of new power equipment to operate its said rock crushing plant in order to provide such material for its use on said streets, and an emergency exists; and CD WHEREAS, the Webb Tractor & Equipment Co., has immediately avail- able, two caterpillar power units which are peculiarly adaptable to the City's use in its rock crushing plant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,: 1. That the City of Yakima lease from the Webb Tractor & Equipment Co., the following equipment, to -wit: 1 D8800 Caterpillar rower unit, open clutch standard equipment, Serial No. 9J22OSP, 1 D13000 Caterpillar power unit, open clutch standard equipment, Serial No. IN1E' according to the terms of that certain lease hereto attached. 2. That the proper officers of the City of Yakima be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said lease on behalf of the City of Yakima.
