Mnved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 20th, 1940 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Wash burn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the bid of the Rankin Implement Company for the Pomona Pump in the sum of x$605.41 is hereby accepted as the best bid and said award is hereby made to said company in the above amount: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -475, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct pipe sewers with the neces- sary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connections therefor to serve the following described district: Beginning at the intersection of Lenox Avenue with Second Avenue South; thence northerly along Second Avenue South to Campbell Avenue; thence easterly along Campbell Avenue to First Avenue South; thence southerly along First Avenue South to Lenox Avenue; thence westerly along Lenox Avenue to the point of beginning, said district to include all lots in Blocks 3 and 6 of Broadway Park Addition No. 2; said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at.a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 17th day of June, 1940, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters related to said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing.and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The labor for this project is to be furnished by the Works Pro - j.ects Administration, and the balance of the cost and expense incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against the property included in the district above described, and legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law; and the City Engin- eer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
