Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, May.13th,__1940 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows:. Sanitation.Dept. 46.00; Crusher $407.83;. Park $525.38; Cemetery $169.00; Cemetery Care $426.00; Street 1807.45; Revolv- ing 1372.75 and Irrigation $279.03: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll c all. Moved by Clark, seconded by. Riley that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 556, and there being no protest in writing, or otherwise, to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -454, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 556, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -408 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -454 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn. that this being the time for the hearing on Reso- lution No. C -473, providing for a sewer on 20th Avenue South and there being no ob- jections in writing, or otherwise, to said improvement, or any part thereof; it is or- dered that the ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -455, entitled, 'SAN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of pipe sewers; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method.of payment therefor; and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -455 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -455 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved- by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -455 be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -475; A RESOLUTION authorizing the purchase of certain pumping equip- ment for Local Improvement District No. 567 and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, Local Improvement District No. 567 has been created for the construction of an irrigation district, and WHEREAS, it is-necessary that a pump and necessary equipment for the operation thereof be purchased to supply water for said irrigation district, and WHEREAS., it is necessary to immediately purchase said pump and equipment so that irrigation water may be delivered to said Local Improvement District without delay. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent of the City of Yakima be and he is hereby authorized to immediately purchase said pump and equipment and an emergency is hereby declared to exist making said purchase immediately necessary. t DATED AT YAKIMA, WAAHINGTON this 20th day of May, 1940. M: Rankin Implement Company $605.41 on Pomona Pump, J477-8J on DeLaval; Decoto Bros. $645.00 on Sterling Duplex, $509.00 on Sterling Vertical, 399.00 on 7- H.P and $399.00 on Sterling Vertical 10 H.P.; Picatti Bros. $524.00 on 615 SSE Pump 72 H.P. and accessories, 356.00 on 5x4 1740 R.
