on roll call, Mayor Riley absent.

RESOLUTION NO. C -470, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve the alley between .15th Ave-
nue South and 16th Avenue South, extending from West Chestnut Street to Bell Street,
by grading and paving the same with a five inch one course concrete pavement 20 feet
in width, and by doing all such other work in connection therewith as may be necessary.
The district to be assessed for this improvement consists of the following:
Lots 1 to 26, inclusive, in Block 1,
Loma Vista Addition to Yakima;
said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with thO, plane and specifica-
tions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may,desire to object to se_id proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yaki-
ma County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 29th day of
April, 1940, which tiie and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re-
lated to said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is, hereby directed to give due notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The labor for this improvement it to be furnished by the Works
Projects Administration, and the balance of the cost and expense, including engineer-
ing, inspection, advertising,, publication of notices and all other expenses incident
thereto shall be levied and assessed against the property included in the district
above described, and legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law; and
the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to
the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information requir-
ed by law to be by.him submitted.

day of April, 1940.

Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the bid of Weber - Chevrolet Company for a
2 door Sedan in the sum of $387.60 be accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the comple-
tion of the sewer system in L.I.D. No. 559, said construction is hereby accepted and
the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the
City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday,
May 6th, 1940 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -447, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE transferring to the Yakima Public Library
Fund the balance remaining in the A. E. Larson Library Trust Fund", was introduced by
Riley and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. 447 be passed to its second
reading.and read by title! only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
