Moved by Riley, seconded.by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March 25th, 1940 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the City,. Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Irrigation.$175..00; L.I.D. Rev. $530.40; Water Dept. $806.02: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley.that this being the time. for the hearing on Reso- lution No. C -456 providing for the construction of a domestic water.system to be known as the "Nob Hill Water System ";. it is ordered that the creation of a local improvement district be taken under advisement: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for two pick -up trucks, one for the Water Dept and one for the Irrigation Dept; the bid of Ross Lynch Company, for G. M. C. trucks in the sum of 1,077.12 is hereby accepted as the lowest and best bid and said contract is hereby awarded to said Ross Lynch Co. for said amount: carried,. Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE.NO. B -444, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments levied for the payment of the cost of .the improvement in Local Improvement Dist- rict-No. 552, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for.the payment of the unpaid portion thereof: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, "was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.. Moved by Clark, seconded by,Washburn that Ordinance No. B- 444.be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. .Moved. by Clark,, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -444 be passed to its third .reading and read in full: carried, Riley,. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Reso- lution No. C -x+57, providing for the construction of,an irrigation district to be known and designated as the "Perry Tract ", and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to said assessment or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Wash- burn and Clark voting aye on roll call. B -445, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of.an irrigation system; es- tablishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment therefor; and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk, Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -445 be passed to its second reading and read by title only":} carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved. by Riley, seconded by Washburn that there being.insufficient protest to the construction of the domestic water system provided for by Resolution No. C -456; it is hereby ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as' finally read:, carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -446, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing,for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system; establishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment there- for; and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. RESOLUTION NO. 0-469, A RESOLUTION authorizing., the sale of Lot 11, Block 33, Tennant and Miles' New Modern Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima). WHEREAS, the City..of. Yakima is the owner of the following de- scribed property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit: Lot ll,.Block 33, Tennant & Miles' New Modern Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of Yakima County,, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent real estate taxes, and WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of Yakima to sell said premises to J. VINCENT JUDGE and CECIL JUDGE, husband and wife, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they arehereby author- ized to be sold to J. VINCENT JUDGE and CECIL JUDGE, husband and wife, for the total sum of One Hundred Eighty,and No /100 ($180.00) Dollars, and the Mayor,.E. B. Riley, is hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Benjamin, is hereby.authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said City of Yakima.
