Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, March 18th, 1940 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: City Street $1,109.78; Sanitation $782.25; Cemetery $153.00; Park $272.00; Crusher $288.84: carried, Riley, Washburn and C1_a.rk voting aye on roll .call. RESOLUTION NO. C -466, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to improve the following streets by "the construction of concrete curbs and gutters: West A Street, Nest B Street and West C Street from Pierce Avenue to Second Avenue North; West D Street from Pierce Ave., to the N. P. Right of Way; Cherry Avenue; Poplar Street and Quince Street from Sixth Avenue North to First Avenue North; Fairbanks Ave. and Willow Street from Sixth Avenue North to Fourth Avenue North; North Avenue from Sixth Avenue North to N. P. right of Way; Elm Street from Second Avenue North to First Avenue North.; West side of Second Avenue North from West A Street to West D Street; Third Avenue North from West Yakima. Avenue to Willow Street; Fourth Avenue North and Sixth Avenue North from West Yakima. Avenue to North Ave- nue; Seventh Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to West B Street; and the east side of Pierce Avenue from Summitview ,Avenue to Seventh Avenue North. The district to be assessed is as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Summitview Avenue with Pierce Avenue; thence northerly along Pierce Avenue and Sixth Avenue North to North Avenue; thence easterly along North Avenue to the Northern Pacific Right of Way; thence southeasterly along sa.i.d. right of way line to the south line of Lot 9 of Leaming's Addition; thence west along said south line to First Avenue North; thence southeasterly along First Avenue North to a point 175 feet south of the south line of Quince Street; thence westerly and parallel with Quince Street to a point 100 feet east of the east line of Fourth Avenue North; thence southerly and parallel with Fourth Avenue North to. Willow Street; thence easterly along Willow Street to Second Avenue North; thence southerly along Second Avenue North to the alley in Block 3 of Mill.view Addition; thence easterly along said alley to First Avenue North; thence southeasterly along First Avenue North to a point 435 feet north of the north line of West D Street; the northeas- terly and parallel with West D Street to the N. P. Right of Way; thence southeasterly along said. right of way to a T oint 200 feet south of the south line of West D Street; thence southwesterly and parallel with West D Street to Second Avenue North; thence southeasterly along Second Ave. North to a, point 200 feet south of the south line of West A Street; thence south,,!aesterly and parallel with West A Street to the center of the alley in Block 230; thence southeasterly along said. alley extended to West Yakima Avenue; thence southwesterly along_ West Yakif!ia Avenue to a point 150 feet west of the v %rest line of Fourth Ai-enue North; thence northwesterly and parallel with Fourth Avenue North to a point 200 feet south of West A Street; thence westerly and parallel with West A Street to the center of the alley in Block 290 Ker's Addition to Yakima; thence southeasterly along said. alley extended to West Yakima Avenue; thence southwesterly along west Yakima. Avenue to a point 150 feet west of the .west line of Sixth Avenue North; thence northwesterly and parallel. with said west. line to a point 140 feet north of the north line of west Yakima Avenue; thence in a southwesterly and westerly direction to the point of beginning; said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed. with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified. to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, -Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 15th day of Aoril, 1940, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters ._related to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment, therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The labor and a, portion of the materials for this improvement are to be furnished by the Works Projects Administration, and the ba,_lance of the cost and expense, including engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied-and assessed. against the pro- perty included. in the district above described, and legally and properly assessable _` 15 I F, 16 therefor as provided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all r' the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. C -467, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, flush tank and water connections to serve the following de- scribed property: Lots 1 to 7, inclusive, of Dill's Addition to Yakima; said. improvement to be constructed in full_ accordance with the plans and. specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed_ improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and. present such objection, if any, at a, meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hoar of ten o'clock A.
