U,Y&REAS, professional truck drivers deliver goods to every home,
community, school, and business in America, traveling more than 170 billaon miles and
delivering 6.5 billion tons of freight each year; and
UVY&REAS, professional truckdrivers have been honored as among the safest
drivers on our highways, and many have received awards for extraordinary acts of
heroism and bravery for saving fellow motorists from injury and death; and
W&RMS, America's professional truck drivers are hard-working men and
women who serve the communities, schools and businesses of the Vnited States with
dedication and pride, and
W&REAS, the week of September 16 has been designated as Yational7ruck
Driver Appreciation Week in honor of these men and women for their outstanding
contributions to our nation's economic strength and viability,
NO`W, D&RETORE, 1, - Nticah Cawley, - Ntayor of the City of Takima and on
behalf of the City Council, do hereby proclaim the week of September 15 through
September2l, 2013 as
