Tuesd.ay,September 6th,3.927, be approved as yead;carried,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded. by Dudley, that. the City Engineer having reported, 'the completion
of _paling the alley in Block 31, Local Improvement District No-4-17, by the contractor;-,
R.A.Geary, in the sum of.X1355.00; it is hereby ordered. that said improvement be accepted.
and the City Engineer is hereby authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district
and. the City. Clerk authorized. to give notice of hearing thereon for,11on.day, October 3rd.,
1927, at 9 o'clock A.M.carried,Dadley,Hedges and. Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded. by Hedges, that. the City Engineer having reported. the completion
of paving the alley in Block, 11 .,Local Improvement District No.436, by the contractor,
R.A.Geary, in the sum of $13n1.`71, t is hereby ordered that said 'i:mprovement be accepted
and the City Engineer instructed-to prepare an assessment roll four said district and. the
City Cler'K to give notice of hearing thereof for Monday, October 3rd.,1927, at 9 o'clock

RESOLUTION NO.B- 1039,WHEREAS, the Lions' Club of the City of Yakima,77ashington, desires the
City Corrsr�ission to purchase the following-described property situate in Yakima County,-
i,Washington, for park purposes,to -wit :
That portion of the STest half of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of.
Sect ion• 30,Township 13, North of Range 19, East of the-Willamette Principal lileriddan,
described as follows: Conznenci ng at the northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of said
Section 30;.thence east along the north line thereof 30 feet; thence south, parallel with
the west line thereof, 30 feet to the point of beginning of the tract herein agreed to be
sold; thence south,. parallel with and distant 30 feet east of the west line of the Northeast
quarter aforesaid,677 feet; thence east, parallel with the north line of said. Northeast
quarter,643 feet, more or less, to the east line of the west half of the Northwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter of said Section 30; thence-north alonL7 said east line,677 feet,
more or less, to a point 30 feet south of the north li..ne of said Northeast quarter; thence
west along. a- line parallel with and distant 30 feet south of said north lire of the North-
east quarter,638 feet,more or less, to the point of beginning, containing ten (10) acres,
more or less; subject to an easement in the public road heretofore laid out or established
or now existing over and across any part of the premises; together vi th the hereditameints
and appurtenances thereunto belonging; and
V11HERFAS, the 'Lions' Club of said. city, and. the individual members thereof, have
signed. and executed a guarantee, guarantying the payments as per contract attached to said
guarantee, which is now on file with the City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE+', M IT .RESOLVED by� the City Commission of' the City of Ya'k:ima,
VWashington, that the4lVlayor and City Clerk-be and they are authorized. to execute contract for
the purchase of the above described property with the Northern Pacific Railway Company, a
.corporation, a copy of which -said. contract is hereto attached to this resolution and made a
part hereof.
