The City Commission met in regular session,Mayor Dud.ley and Commissioners Hedge's and Coonse
voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Dudley, seconded by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday,
July 5th.,1927, be approved. as read.;ear- ied,Dudle'y,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call
,Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of gravelling and. grading Cornell Avenue in Local Improvement District No. 435, Eby the
Contracto.r,Thomas Dingle in the sum of $606.50, 'the same is hereby accepted and the City
'Engineer authorized to orepare an assessment rota. for said district and the City Clerk
'authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll'f6r Yonday,Aug>>st 1,1927, at
-9 o'clock A -Y; carried,Dudley,Hedges and. Coonse voting aye on roll call.
-Loved -by Coonse, aeconded by Hedges, that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the improvement of grading and gravelling Twenty Second. Avenue etc., in Local Improvenen
-District No.431, by the Contractor, J.D. Lennington in the sum of $4512.40; the same is
hereby accepted, and. the City Engineer authorized to prepare ari assessment roll fox said
district and. the-City .Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday,
August lst,1927, ay 9 o'dL ock A.M. carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and. Coonse voting aye on roll call.,
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the improvement of constructing a concrete sidewalk on the east side of Tenth Avenue
South in Local Improvement District No.434, by the contractor, J.IdT.DeBlasio, in the sum of
$480.00, said vaork is hereby accepted and the City Engineer at- thorized to prepare an
assessment roll. for said `district and the C ty Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing
thereon for Yonday,August 16,1927, at 9 o'clock A:1d. carried,Dudley,Hed.ges and Coonse votin
d.ye on roll call. V
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that this being* the time for receiving bids for con-
structing a sewer in Block 2,Gilbert Addition in total. Improvement District No-441, the
following bids were received.' R.A_.Geary,: 1006.00; ":'D.J. Longton, 1184.00 and J.11.DeBlas.io
t�1157.80, the bid of R.A.Geary in the sum of $1006.00 being the lowest and best bid is
hereby awarded to him and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract therefor on behalf -of said City upon filing the proper bond.;carried.,Dudley,Hedges
and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that this being the time and place for receiving bids
for paving the 'alleys in Blocks 29 and 30, in Local Improvement District No.439 and R.A.
Geary being the only bidder, in the sum of $2480.75, said contract is hereby awarded to
him and the i�P,ayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract therefor on behalf of sai
City upon filing the proper bond;carried,Dud.7ey,1;1edges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that this. being the time and place for receiving bids
for paving the alley in Block 50,1-ocal Improvement District No-438,' and R.A.Geary being the
only bidder in the sum of '1304.75, said contract 'is hereby awarded to him and. the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into'a contract therefor on behalf' of said
city upon filing the proper bond;carried,Dudley,H , dges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
