The City Commission met in regular session,Ma.yor Dudley and Commissioner Traub voting
aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved. by Dud.ley,seconded. by Traub, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
July 20th,1925, be approved as read; carried, Dudley and Traub voting aye on roll call,
Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, seconded. by Dudley, that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Dudley and- Traub voting aye on
roll call, Hedges absent.

ors,Geo.F. 7acha, for constructing a sewer on Pacific Avenue at South Naches, in Local
Improvement District No.402,-from August 1st,1925,:to August 15th,1925; carried, Dudley
and Traub voting aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved.by Traub, seconded by Dudley, that this being the time and. place for the hearing
on Resolution No•B -889 to construct a pavement on South Sixth S'tre'et from Yakima Avenue
to Spruce Street; -t is ordered. that said. hearing be adjourned-ta Tuesday, July 28th,
1925, at 9-o'clock A.M. carried, Dudley and Traub voting aye on.roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, seconded by Dudley, that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolution No.B -890 to construct a pavement on 23rd. Avenue .North.,._ from "ummitview Avenue
and there being no objections to said improvement in writing or otherwise;,it is ordered
that the ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be l.ai.d 'on the table for one
week; carried, ,Dudley-and Traub voting aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, seconded. by Dudley, that this being the tirie for the hearing on Resolution
No.B -891, to pave the east one half of Sixth Avenue North from the south line of
Boulevard Avenue extended. to a line nine feet south of the center line of North Avenue;
and no objections being presented in writing or otherwise to said iinprovement; it is
ordered that the Ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be laid on the table
for one week; carried, Dudley and Traub.voting aye.on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, 'seconded. by Dudley, that this being the time for receiving bids for
paving South Fourth & Fifth Avenues from West Yakima Avenue to West Walnut Street in
Local-Improvement District No. 404, and the bid of Yakima Paving Company in the sum of
$39,711.30 being the lowest and best bid for a bituminous wearing surface with concrete
base; said contract is hereby awarded to said Company and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to enter into a contract therefor; carried, Dudley and. Traub voting
aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Dudley, seconded. by'Traub that Dolph Barnett is hereb: appointed acting Police
Judge to serve during the vacati:.rn period; carried., Dudley and Traub voting aye on roll
call, Hedges absent.

suer, of $39,711.30 for paving South Fourth and Fifth Avenues from West Yakima Avenue to

That it is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Yakima,%rrashingtor
to improve Eleventh Avenue South from Division Street to Washington.Street, all in the
City of Yakima,Washington,• by grading and paving the same with either a one course Portlanc
cement concrete pavement, a pavement having. a Portland cement - concrete base and. either a
bituminous-concrete wearing .surface, or a "7lar.rerri.te .11i_tulithic" wearing- surface, or a
pa,vernent having a bituminous concrete• base -a:nd• eit.h.er. a.bit.umino.us..conc-rete wearing surface
or a "Warreni.te Bitulithic" wearing surface - or_.other type _of. pavement as specified; the
pavement to be twenty four feet in width, by constructing concrete curbs along each side o
said pavement, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary: in connection therewit
all in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City
Engineer and -filed with the City Clerk.

All persons who may desire -to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and present such objections 'at a meeting of the- City Commission to be
held at its offices in the City Office .Build.ing in the City of Yakima, 1as1lington, at the
hour of nine o'clock A.M. , on Monday, the 17th day of August ;1925, which time and .place,
are hereby fired for the hearing of-iall matters relating to said propose& improvement, all
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the . City Clerk
is hereby .d- irected- to:-give due nrotice, of said heari�ngl and of the intention to make.the

The .cost and expense of said. improvement shall be borne by and assessed against
all of the property .legally and. properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said, hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to
be submitted by him.
