the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 397, for paving the East One Half
of Twenty Seventh Avenue, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to said
,assessment-roll or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said
assessment roll be. passed as finally read:; carried, Dudley,Hedges and Traub voting aye on
roll call.

RESOLUTION NO.&888,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COTJMISSION OF 'TI- --� CITY OF YAK IMA,VUSH INGTON:
That Preston ,Thorgrimson and Turner, Attorneys -at -law of Seattle,VJashington,
be and they.,are hereby employed to-assist the City Attorney of Yakima in drafting the
necessary ord.ihances, res.al.utions,notices, and-.other papers to submit the question of
the adoption of a plan for a municipal waterworks system. for the City of Yakima, and the-
issuance of general and special water revenue bonds of said city to 19ay the same, and in
case such plan or system is adopted by a vote of the,people, to assist the City Attorney
in drawing the necessary- o- rdinanc.e.w,notices. and other papers for the issuance and.'the sal(
of said bonds; said attorneys further, at the time of the issuance and sale of said bonds,
to examine all proceedings relating to said.bonds, and to furnish the City a final opinion
as to the validity thereof. In case such plan of system is not adopted and said bonds
not authorized, Prebton,.Thorgr.imson & Turner are to be paid the sum of.One'Thousand
Dollars'31,000.00) in full -for their servioes up to. the time of said election, and if
said plan is adopted and said bonds authorized,Preston,Thorgimson & Turner.are t.o receive
in full for their services. relating .to said.matter, including the final approving opinion
as to said bonds, the additional sum of Twenty -five Hundred.Dollars ($2500.00).

RESOLUTION NO.B- 889,BE IT RESOLID BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, "IASHINGTON:
That it is 'the intention of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, ffashington
to improve South Sixth Street, from-Yakima Avenue to Spruce Street, all in the City of
Yakima,Ya.kima County; lashington, by gradi-ng and. paving the same with, either a . one course
Portland cement- cone'rete I pavement or a pavement having a Portland cement concrete base
and. either a bituminous concrete wearing surface or a "Warrenite, Bitulithic" wearing surfac
the-pavement, to be 50 feet in width, -by constructing•-concr_ete currbs,- along - --each side of
said pavement, by constructing the4 necessary sidewalk extensions--.at-.street- intersections,
I with the necessary pipes and culverts for drainage- purposes,-.and by-:doing all such
other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with-the plans
and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and fi -led with the. City
Clerk.
All persons who ray, desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and present such. objections at a meeting of, the City Commission to be
held at its•offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakima,Washington, at the
hour of nine o'clock A.T., on Monday the 27th day of July, 1925, which. time. and . place are
hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said. proposed improvement,. all,
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk
is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the
aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall: be borne. by and assessed against
all of . the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law., and. the
City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and. other information required by law to be
submitted by him.
