The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Dudley and Commissioners -Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call. -Moved by Dudley,_ seconded by Hedges, that, the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 26th.,1924,_ be approved as read; carried, Dudley, edges and Traub voting aye on roll call. Moved by Hedges., seconded by Dudley,,that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authoriz.e_d to issue warrants therefor: Various Dept., $1973.29; Health Dept., $1668.53; ?feat Dept., $386.66; Engineering Dept.,, $1820.50; Police Dept., $2507.00; Fire Dept., $3705.74; Cemetery, $135.00; Park, $250.00; Fixed Estimate, $1151:00 and Library, $600.06. carried, Dudley, Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call. Moved by Traub, seconded by Dudley, that the completion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 383, for the construction of cement. concrete sidewalk on Fifth Avenue, North, -by the contractors, Dingle and DeBlasio, in the sum.of $1345.88'is hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk authorized. to give notice of hearing on said assessment, by publicaticn as required by law; said date being Monday, June 34th,1924, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried, Du. dle y, Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call. All-persons who. may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the, City Commission to be held at its offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakima, Washington, at- the hour of 9 o'clock A.M, on I!- rlonday, the 23rd day of June,1924, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby,,• directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and-assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessible therefor, as provided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the -data and other information required by law to- be submitted by him.
