The City Commission ??let in regular session, Mayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges and Traub
voting aye on roll call:
Moved by Dudley, seconded by Traub that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
December 31st, 1923 be approved as read; carried, Dudley, Hedges and Traub'.voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Hedges, seconded by Dudley, that claims on the Current Expense, Cemetery, Park and
L.I.D. Revolving Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized.to issue warrants therefor;
carried, Dudley, Hedges. and Traub voting aye on roll call.
'Moved by Dudley;;: seconded by Traub, that all bids submitted for the construction of the
-proposed street lighting; system be rejected with the exception of the bids of XePage and
1 eKUnny,-- and the Electric Power and Appliance Company; the latter bids to be considered
1 ondaT., January 7th,1924 at 9 o' clock -A.bI. carried, Dudley, Hedges and Traub voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Dudley, ,seconded by Hedges, that Dolph'Barnett be appointed to the office of City
Attorney to begin Tuesday, January 2nd,1924, and to continue to the third Monday in December
1927, unless revoked by the City Commission prior to said date; carried, Dudley, Hedges and
Traub .voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dudley, seconded by Hedges, that James Perry be appointed t.o the office of Chief
of Police; L.B. Vincent,Police Judge; J.'. Liggett, Arthur Lizee and D•A.McInnis, Sergeants;
W.W. Caldwell, Finger Print Officer; R.N. Sanders,-Jailer; Elizabeth Shrimpton, Protective
1Iatron; J.A. Sullivan and C -11. Schrader,. Detectives; Douglass Hoy ^ratt, Traffic Officer:;.

by the City Commission prior to said date; carried, BudleY, Kedges and Traub voting aye on
roll call.

Nurse; to begin Tuesday, January 2nd,1924-,:.and continue to the third Monday in December, 1927

Clerk; Elva Becker,..Deputy City Clerk; Ray `llashburn, City Treasurer; and Forrest F. Herring
Deputy City Treasurer, said appointments to begin Tuesday, January 2nd,1924, and continue
to the third Monday in December 1927, unless revoked by the City Commission prior to said
date; carried, Dudley, Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call.

voting aye on roll call.

City Engineer, said appointment to begin Tuesday, January 2nd,1927 unless revoked by the.
City Commission prior to said. date; carried, Dudley, Hedges and Tral voting aye on roll call

tendent of Tahoma Cemetery, said appointment to: begin Tuesday, January 2nd,1924, and continue

date; carried, Dudley,Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call.
